| I Vteped out on May 16 and I was told that I could claim unemployment due to the fact that Chrysler would not let me keep working till I got my buyout check. Has anyone that left on the Vtep buyout program have you been getting unemployment? Another thing is has anyone that left on May 16 have you recieved your buyout check, I know people that left back in March and they got there check within 35 days, just wondering is all any feedback would be great, thank you for your time. |

| Was taped on may 30th. Got a letter Saturday saying my unemployment was turned down. Chrysler told the unemployment office I left Voluntairy, and took the buyout. This is true, but the union told me that Vtap people would be getting unemployment. |

We were told by Chrysler Reps the VTEP/Retirement meeting that NO ONE that takes the VTEP can claim unemployment. You have voluntarily quit the company which forfeits any chance of getting unemployment benefits. I wouldnt take any stock in what our union may have told some of you |

| My appeal is set up for tomorrow afternoon, I have a phone interview at 3pm with some lady and that is what my biggest complaint is how come some people are getting it without a fight but yet there are people that need to fight to get unemployment. I have buddies that left back in March and have gotten unemployment from day one without a fight, now Chrysler sent them the same paperwork that they sent for us,that we left on a voulantary basis. I will repost after my phone interview and give you some tips on what to say and what not to say if you also have a phone interview. |

I vtep out on May 16th and was wondering if anyone has got their check yet??? I was never told to apply for unemployment and I never really thought about doing it since I agreed to leave the company. So I'm just wandering about our buyouts. [/i][/b] |

| No check for me yet either and i left on May 16 also, I know the guys that left in March got there checks within 45 days, and it been 37 days for me. I don't think you will get an answer from anyone cause they told you 45-60 days, but someone somewhere has to know if the checks have been cut yet, if anyone has any info please pass it on, thank you. |

|

| I called benefits express and talked to someone who sounded like they were from India---I don't know, but I spent over 45 minutes on the phone with them being shuffled from one person to another on Thursday only to be told to call benefits in the plant. Well I called them next only to be told they couldn't tell me a thing but that I should call payroll. Ok next phone call, payroll was atleast helpful. She checked in the system and told me that they hadn't sent anything out yet but that I was more then welcome to call her back on wednesday after 1pm, and she would be able to see if anything was sent out. I personally believe that chrysler is going to wait the 45 days because that puts it at the end of the month and that puts us right in there with the retirees. So Ny I was wondering what happened with your appeal for your unemployment? Just wondering. |

| Well I called payroll today, and the lady told me that they cut a bunch of checks on Monday and mine was one of them. she said that they still had to go threw a double signing process and then they would be sent out, she said watch the mail and I should have it within a week. Going back to NY is getting closer and closer. |

| I vteped out also. I also did not know that you could get unemployment. I signed up online and was sent paperwork saying I would have a phone interview this Monday. Does anyone that has gone through the process know what we are supposed to tell them in the interview to get things going? I am using the buyout money for tuition and the little bit of unemployment for a few weeks would help. |
