| I was wondering if someone could explain to me the gr on my attendance record? I know it stands for good record but how does it work? Someone said you get like 15 of them for good attendance. 15 in what amount of time? Also how do you get grs back? I am confused because grs where never explained to me and I have been at bap for 14 years. |

This is my understanding of the program. If I get something wrong I hope somebody would correct me.
If you have not gotten a written warning for attendance (B-5 level) for the past 3 calander years and you also have not had 15 or more 'countable' absences in those 3 years you are at GR
A GR will cover up to 5 absences unless of course any of those GR covered absences would put you over the other previously mentioned rules. |

| the only thing i can think to add is that once you get out of the gr program it takes you 3 years to get back in. also, if you get any type of disciplinary action then you automatically lose your gr's. |

I'd like to add that it might take 3-years to earn GR status, but it only takes one DLO and they are all gone.
I was present when a fellow team leader was told by our group leader to go fix a car in the middle of the plant with only 10 minutes left before it was time to punch-out. This team leader said, "No" and the GL gave the TL a direct order. The TL continued to walk away and the GL called the Union steward. The next day the TL was walked out DLO for one day only to return and find out that all 3-years of GR's were taken away too.

| The Good Record Criteria is clearly stated in the 2003 Letters Book {fat green} Memorandum M-08 page 406. It is also in the 2007 Red Book page 218, unchanged from 2003. |

| To be eligible for GR status you can not have more than 15 countable absences in a rolling 3 year period. The 3 year on roll period is active on roll time, any time you clear roll that time will need to be made up. Any disciplinary time off will make you ineligible for 3 years from that date. Also more than 2 medicals in a rolling 3 year time frame would make you ineligible unless work comp. You are not out of the GR status for 3 years if you have more than 15 absences. You would go back into GR status once you have less than 15 in a rolling 3 year time frame. There are many people that fall in and out of GR depending on when an absence is going to fall off.
