UNEMPLOYMENT INFORMATION FOR OPENING NEW OR RE-OPENING CLAIMS

CHANGEOVER WEEK: JULY 13 – 19, 2008

You must open your claim via an IN-PERSON APPLICATION OR GO ON-LINE IF OPENING A NEW BENEFIT YEAR the week of changeover. (The majority are up for waiting week at this time.) REMEMBER: ILLINOIS ALWAYS REQUIRES A TWO PART PROCESS!! YOU MUST CERTIFY FOR WAITING WEEK CREDIT OR A BENEFIT WEEK THE SECOND WEEK OF YOUR RETURN TO WORK. I WILL HAVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THAT PROCESS OUT DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF YOUR RETURN. The unemployment claims-takers will be at the UAW Local 1268 Union Hall from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Monday July 14 and Tuesday July 15. If filing in-
