I recently had my wife take our van in for new front brakes from my local Chrysler dealership and when looking at the invoice I noticed a $10.74 fee for "DISPOSAL CHARGE FOR REPAIR ORDER"

I called the dealership and asked if this was a state or federal fee. They said, "NO"  I told them I would gladly throw my own parts away then and I will come back in to get my $10.74 refund!

Evil or Very Mad Always trying to scam the customer!

P.S.  I did price around the cost of getting the pads and rotors replaced from two different dealerships and three different grease monkey garages. I was happy to find the dealerships price for the repair was within $50 of the local grease monkey shops and therefore I had the dealership do the work.

Doin yer own brakes is a relatively easy job and cheap

Midas on parts alone woulda run me 485 for front brakes and rotors

I got my own from autozone and installed, it ran me a total of like 130

When I had nothing but used junkers I did much of the work myself and also with the help from friends. Since it's under warranty I want to make sure they don't have any reason to point blame at me for any problems down the road. They did note that a tie rod was bad and it says they replaced it, but who really know the truth.
