Everyone be careful with all the snow coming! I was just wondering if they had ever cancelled work because of it?

You're kidding, right?   Very Happy   I work 3rd, and they wanted us to stay 4 hours later since they were uncertain if they could get an entire shift running!  If I had known the roads would be this bad at 7 am, I would've called in too.  Absolutely the worst I have ever seen!  I made it home, but got stuck right outside our house, and then locked my keys in the car!  What a day.

I've never seen them cancel work in the 9 years that I have been there.
I remember a few bad winter storms - but people make it in.

I have been here for almost twelve years and they have never cancelled work, in that time for snow. One time there was a bomb scare that kept 2nd shift out for an hour or so but we still ran that night. I have seen them cancel when there is a major storm out east and the parts don't get here in time, but as far as cancelling because of snow here, I don't think that will ever happen.

When I worked at Green Giant and my father-in-law was working at BAP, we/Green Giant shutdown and took shelter because a tornado had touched down in Cherry Valley. For those of you that don't already know, Cherry Valley is about 5 miles away from the BAP. The Belvidere city sirens were going off, I heard them myself from off the dock at Green Giant 2nd shift.

My father-in-law didn't know anything of the tornado until after work. Don't worry about where to go in the plant should a tornado hit, because you will see it first!  Laughing
