Local 1268 is looking for people who would like to help out at Special events, Distributing Leaflets, or with Gate Collections. We are looking for people who would like to be a little more involved but don't have the time to commit to a committee. We are taking names and when an event comes up and extra help is needed we will go to the Volunteer list and go down the list.

We need your Name, Phone #, Shift, Dept, Bay Location, and Gate Preference. You can sign up at the Union Hall OR send me a private message on here or at MryBing65@aol.com.

I know with the leaflets we need people from Paint and Bodyshop. I also need everyone to ask their teamleaders when information from the union is passed out on the tables that they do not throw it away. I have seen four different times after I tabletopped a leaflet the teamleader picking it up and tossing it. A clean table is nice but union information is more important and let them know you have that right to see that information.

You have a very good point, UNION news should be left 24hrs. or more on the table for all shifts to see. Remember when there was an issue with a fake table top about "ETE Employment Opportunities" that to this date I understand nobody found out who did?

Maybe Dan could offer a "Table Top" section on www.UAW1268.com with all the table tops for the year. By doing so everyone could verify the real table tops from the fakes.
