NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When are the ETE's going to get a fair shake? We are even being put out of jobs that we have held for 6 months or longer and put on jobs that we dont know. But as long as the seniority employees are happy who cares? When do you draw a line in fairness. I think these actions that are being taken against us(ETE'S) are unfair labor practices!!!! We are union due paying employees also. Its bad enough what is happening to us and to top it off we are treated like second class employees that get pushed around all the time. |

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ETE's are getting treated the same as anyone would be treated with less seniority. For example I have 1978 seniority and have had my job since we started building the Caliber as of Monday I am being bumped by a fellow employee that has more seniority. It's not all about us being happy, it is what our contract states. Can another ETE with less time then you bump you off your job? Is that not fair? There are many reasons why you didn't get a fair shake. I don't agree that this is one of them. You are being treated no different than me. |

I have some mixed feelings.
I know managment does not respond like they should to greviences. What is allowed today seems to change tomorrow with little or NO notification by management or union.
I know that when we had a team leader forum with management about overtime months ago it included trim and chassis team leaders. We all grouped together with our voice and got what we wanted. Recently the team leader forums have been setup by management in groups of 8 or so up in the area managers office. Why? We know.... because like before when we all hear and agree with the other team leaders speaking we group together as a UNION and win.
Here is an example of what I'm talking about....
This last week we short shifted on 3rd and a plantwide page was sent out... the line was to shutdown at 4:58am punch out at 5am. Our break time is 5am Back on the Neon everyone would have been told they can punch out at 5am if they wish or leave after break. WalMart sends their employees home just before they need to give them a paid break too, but they are not UNION either. Why do things like this continue to not be questioned?
Please pass this website address around the plant so we can have a daily voice/forum for all 3 shifts. Monthly union meetings can't keep up with the changes happening in the plant daily. I feel this forum can help our union become much stronger in voice. |
