I know from speaking with a retiree (in Kenosha) that they have called back to cover open spots (yes, double dipping) and he said that he received it once. He said that later Chrysler came back and deducted money from his checks because of it. It seems that like the extra $25 that Obama gave everyone weekly on their unemployment, sub is based off a percentage. The more we receive in unemployment, the less we qualify for in sub. Obama unknowingly gave the auto companies a bonus of $25 per week to put in the companies pocket for every laid-off employee they had.
As for the TAA/TRA, if you will never receive a paycheck again from the company go for it. If you will be receiving a paycheck from the company in the future and qualify for sub, expect the company to take the difference back sometime down the road. |
