2,200 workers.............................

Quote:
The union local representing workers at Chrysler’s Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit has rejected the proposed national labor agreement with the automaker, people familiar with the voting said.

The vote today at UAW Local 7, which represents about 2,200 workers at the SUV factory, was being closely watched by UAW and Chrysler leadership as the plant is seen by many as a bellwether for how the agreement will do among the rest of the UAW’s 45,000 Chrysler workers.

The loss of Local 7 makes a total of six defeats by locals, representing about 11,000 people, against the agreement since voting began Thursday.

Around 60% of the people voting at Local 7 rejected the measure, a person familiar with the results said.

the international leadership and chrysler officials are probably worried now, they somewhat expected scattered plants to turn it down but were counting on the close to home plants to overwelmingly accept it.

They OUGHT to be worried, they thought us uneducated idiots wern't smart enough to read it first.
