F.Y.I.
The quote below is from (Chris) the owner of FreePowerBoards.com to forum ADMIN's and I wanted to share the information with all of you.
| Quote: |
As we have done in the past, we are testing the ad spot below the first post in a thread. (This ad are exactly like the ad at the top of the forums and will either be an untargeted image ad from Tribal Fusion or a targeted image/text ad from Google.)
Continued ad tests make sure our free services are financially secure. By testing ads we know what type of ads perform best for our network and can therefore limit the amount of ads only to what is needed to keep the service running healthily.
Revenue from these ads are what pay for the great new addons we have in progress, live support, ticket support, new guides, fast servers, etc.
We've had ads here in the past and eventually removed them once we felt we had the information we needed. We are doing the same again now and the ads may be taken off by us once we have our data or removed by you through our regular ad-free payment option. The ad-free option basically pays your forum's costs and dues in place of the ads we place.
Thanks for your continued understanding while we test these ads again. |

Glad to hear they might be only temporary, sem too big and bulky to me, would be better in the banner style. If at all but we do understand why, it takes alot of money for servers. |

I receive NO money for this board/forum and DO NOT WANT ANY MONEY! I'm just trying to help out our local and any other local that wants to use this board/forum.
For a monthly fee I could eliminate the ads, but they don't bother me much.
Remember, every time you click on one of those ads you help the owner Chris Davis of www.freepowerboards.com pay for his server costs.
I only pay for the yearly domain name. |
