Total Logistics Control, a distribution center in Rochelle, IL, is now hiring for all shifts. They handle mostly frozen food for Sara Lee, so yes, it's a freezer environment.  Starting pay, based on experience, is up to $16/hr.  The have 4 different shifts.  You would work 12 hour days, 3 days a week, with one Saturday a month and possible overtime. It seems like a really great place to get into if you can handle the cold.

I applied Monday, interviewed Thursday, and was hired the same day. I start Jan. 21st!  Look into it if you're interested.  Don't wait for the other 1,000+ people to flood the job market before you start looking, ETEs.  There are good jobs out there now, but they won't be there long after the lay-offs start.

CONGRATS JPAINT. 16 an hr is good pay real good compared to whats out there. I'm a 3rd generation uaw worker dad and grandpa worked for GM . and  grandpa hired in at GM in 1939 rest his sole. and have seen and heard alot of stuff in the 41 years of my life about the unions and company's. and in my lifetime 11 years with chrysler and all the stories i have heard from grandpa and dad as a kid and adult. the big 3 and the uaw are in trouble BIG trouble. if you can get out and still get a decent job you are doing good. cause trust me the ones leaving if you can make 12 to 18 you are lucky. now 5 percent of maybe 1000 might land a job that pays what chrysler pays and if they do they hit the lottery. may god bless all of us taking the buyout and the ones staying at chrysler we will all need it. stay UNITED brothers and sisters . and again jpaint congrats to your new life. james  Smile

Hey everyone, if you're interested in looking into this place, do so NOW.  They are still hiring, but they will likely only hire 10 more people.
