My wife Suzie and I need your help in praying for a close friend/neighbor and his family.

Tim Saxton, pictured here on February 1st with three of our kids on his 4-wheeler, is currently in Beloit hospital. This event happened the evening of February 13, 2008. He is currently on a ventilator, in a coma and they are scheduled to remove him from all life support sometime today.

Please make time now and in the coming weeks to pray for Tim and his family. The power of prayer is so strong, the more the better. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Brian Laws & family

Is their a way we could get a collection from our site members for our friend Tim. If so put me down for a 20. Thoughts and prayers will be there for his family and yours.

This was so kind to offer, to which I replied:

I have received PM's from people and others asking at work how my friend Tim is doing. I knew about this Saturday, but didn't feel like sharing anymore on this topic until I had an official announement.

Hey SPDguy, it is a small world.

I recently spoke with your girlfriend and I hope to meet you at the memorial service this Saturday.

He was born in Pontiac, Ill., on July 7, 1964, to Tom A. and Janice (Fosler) Saxton. He married Julie Cordes on May 21, 1983, in Lacon, Ill. She survives.

Also surviving are his parents of Magnolia, Ill.; his maternal grandmother, Marie Fosler of Rockford, Ill.; one son, Tyler, at home; and two daughters, Lindsay of Janesville, Wis., and Ashlee at home; as well as two sisters, Rebecca (David) Stemm of Rockford and Karen (Tom) Brandenburg of Beloit, Wis. His first grandchild is expected in June. He is also survived by his in-laws, Wally and Louise Cordes of Lacon; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Lacon or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockton.

A memorial service will also be held at 11 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Rockton.

Lenz Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
