Well Folks, Gettlefinger and company did it again, had those folks believing all the way, (if you followed the blogs at all) took them to the goal line and then punted!
It's a damn shame that everyone of our processes are democratic with
exception to the International Union where everyone is APPOINTED,
go figure, them boys are set for life, our lives and that of our families
as FAITHFUL UAW Members are in their hands.
Bet your ass they aren't having any trouble filling their tanks nor did
they lose any homes, their kids go without while all trust was placed
in their hands.
We are in the beginning stages of our voting process at TMP for Local
Offices, I understand that Belvidere cleaned house, top to bottom,
good for you all. |

Hey Zoom 384.... I am from TMP and currently at Belvidere assy....Yes you are right we cleaned house from top to bottom but just because we cleaned house doesnt mean things have changed... I miss TMP and its STRONG UNION!!!!! I could go on and on but I think my point has been made..... |

Hate to burst your bubble my Brother, but TMP has no strong union
by any stretch of the imagination, that I'm afraid was a long time ago.
With International not backing anyone up other than the companies
and Gettlefinger and company filling their coffers it will only get worse.
You remember that Gettlefinger was all broke up about the Daimler-
Chrysler split or the sale it were eventually to Cerberus as he once
again is concerned about the newest potential sale, here's why:
With Daimler he was on the Board being paid=he lost a paycheck,
who knows how much?
Now he says he's worried about the certain loss of jobs to a G.M.
sale=loss of revenue to the International, they might have to rid themselves of a body or 2, I would have to research it but on a guess
just like at the plant you have to have X number of people per Steward,
(ex. we are down to 1 on second an 1 on third shift).
At a very minimum their coffers will be getting much smaller, notice how
the education funds from the Union has been cut for you and I? Up
North isn't doing without, you can bet ur ass on that.
Gotta go, gonna place a new thread, it will be up before you read this.
