Brain,
Thank you for adding a section for my brothers and sisters!
I work GEMA and am currently laid off. Due to the fact that Baumbach is a notoriously vindictive SOB I will only use my pseudonym. I am/was an hourly GEMA Technical Specialist who works/worked in the Assembly Department. I have a friend that works for Mitsubishi Controls Department. He told be they are putting together a Bill of Materials (quote) to upgrade the entire south plant at GEMA. Word he has heard so far is that is it is for a Fiat V6. I have another buddy who works for a company Chrysler contracts for start-up and de-bugging who has been told he may be working in Dundee . . .

Hi Deacon,
Yes the FIRE engine is "unofficially" slated for GEMA South. Nothing can be done until the partnership is dissolved with Hyundai and Mitsubishi. I do know the build schedule is going up. This is because of the "cash for clunkers " has cleared out the dealerships. I always said if they sold a car below 10K they would sell a lot of them. If you bought a base caliber with rebate you were looking at under 10k...... Once the 2 tier wage scale system takes effect we all will be driving clunkers!!! |
