| Have anyone talked with the problem solver down here? We have talk to some of them in depth and gotten to know them pretty well. (yes we like to talk, lol) I do beleive they are here to help, and we have talked with three of them who told me they do see the real problems down here, and it IS NOT the workers. They have pointed out problems with our management (no shock there) the way it is set up ( still no shock) and overloaded jobs with no tooling. I did have one guy ( I wont mention names) show me one of his reports back to his office explaining these same conditions so I dont think it is hype. We did have to straighten one of them out for trying to clip wires together about not working on the line , so he quit it,lol. It will be interesting to see what all they can do, not that it is in time. |

Hard to say James, they could be over there too as the vp in charge of chrysler is here for a while yet with his problem solvers. Or they could be vendors checking things out. Either way, when we work, stay the heck out of the way, lol.
Brian, the problem solvers are people the bigshots from detroit brought in to find out what is wrong with our plant and get things fixed, This past week we have had the chrysler div. president , vp, and others down here. We just launched our minivans new model and cant get our numbers due to problems with parts, overloaded jobs, vendors who cant deliver, ect. Mostly bad management.
If they are not union workers they should not be doing anything but looking, and when they cross that line we will and have told them to stop, even a supervisor has to have a union worker standing with him if he touches the job. |

After reading this old post, I thought it was worth a BUMP and I thought I'd add a comment along with the BUMP!
As he already mentioned:

I've often heard this type of union person referred to as a "union buddy" and please correct me if I'm wrong but I understand this is ONLY allowed if the supervisor is training the union employee on a job. |
