Has anybody ever seen any kind of official posting of who got the buyout? I have often heard that the cutoff date was 5/98,but not from a boss or a union official. Also is there any kind of official date for all of this to happen. This place is a regular circus.....no union and no management. Small wonder this company is going right down the toilet. And good riddance to it. Can't wait to take the money and run.

right now as it stands they are currently at 108. Which puts it at  9/97 for a CORP Seniority date. Once the planners can figure out the manpower, there very well could be more going.  Hope this helps..for now

I was told tonight by my steward that the vtep buyouts will be honored by the end of May, they will be bringing in 119 day workers to replace us. Finally the buyout offer has come to life for me.

Although I was not told who would be taking the spots for the VTEP's, I was told also that they would be allowed to go starting the end of this month and finishing by the end of August. That way they will all be out before the September bonus. Of course none of this is official yet.

I just got some information from HR and as of today they are working on the last day of work for the remaining Vtep buyouts that are on file, so it looks like it is true the remaining 142 buyouts are being honored. I can't imagine that it will take longer then a week to have HR figure out when the last day of work will be for us remaining buyouts.

Tonight they brought over another 119 person that knows all my team jobs.  I now know of two 119 people that have previously done all the jobs in my team and I have two Vtep people on my team. I think their last day will be Saturday the 17th, but they don't know it yet.

Time will soon tell.  Cool

When and how did they notify you of when you were leaving? My job has been posted and someone is being trained but I still haven't heard anything offical about when I can go.

Well, those two people on my team are still here. It seems the last round of Vtep people they let go were mostly those on S & A or (injured) PQX.

According to Kevin Logan. The last day they want to keep us VTEPS is June 6th. Some will probably be out by May 31st pending on location and if they have FULLY trained replacements for your job
