Sad thing is it will be build in Mexico. That is if SLPN closed down July 10 and doesn't reopen.

SLPN is the only plant that makes Rambox, Standard cab and 8 foot bed. There is talk that only the Rambox is going to Warren.  Standard cab and 8 foot bed going to Mexico.

My opinion- It will close get everyone off layoff and hire two-tier workers.  Mexico builds 2500 and 3500/mega with 6.3 and 8.2 beds.  http://www.dodge.com/hostc/bmo/models.do?modelYearCode=CUD200915

In the end I just hope people look at the window sticker before you buy it. Make sure it's build in the US. Your tax money should not go to Mexico.

Something else to add. I talked to the Local president and he said that 6,800 took the buyout. Chrysler was looking for 3,200. I ask they everyone that was layoff should be back to work. He had no number of how many people are layoff company wide.

Sorry if I derailed this thread. Great truck just hope it gets build in US.
