· Quote

I recently found out once i went to the cookout for the UAW workers that mostly everyone that was on 2nd shift are not getting SUB pay this week.  You have to fill out a SUB card online, or call in to the office & check with them.  There saying if you don't get it this week you should get it next week.  Fine time for something like this to happen on the holiday weekend!  Mad

do you know if we will be getting the sub pay next week I heard they were trying to claim this week was slated our vacation.  I also heard they are trying to claim the weeks were shut down for change over as vacation so we did not get unemployment.  This is due to new contract where we were mandated to take vacation those two weeks of shut down but this should start next year when they pay us on the weeks were down not before in may as far as i see it.  Mad

I just recently found out about this too. A friend helped step me through the online process in dashboard to fill-out a request for this missing sub. - Thanks friend!

I understand from some that this process may not be needed, but I feel better if I have a paper (email in this case) trace of this action. To sit back and just assume it will be fixed on it's own might cost me more missing weeks.

I was just contacted and received an unofficial explanation of why our sub-pay is missing. I was told that it is IDES fault. I was told that IDES sent the weeks information to Detroit that Thursday morning. People who called IDES tele-serve late Wednesday evening or later that week did not have their information needed sent to HQ in time for us to receive our sub-pay this week.

That can't be true because I call in early morning Tuesdays like I'm supposed to do, so that is definitely not the reason so they will have to come up with a better reason than that.  Whomever is responsible should be held accountable for not getting in contact with everyone on this.  Of course they would say they wouldn't have time, but they had time to make sure everyone got the call about the cookout by Texas Roadhouse, now didn't they??  Sometimes some people need to just stand up and take the hit for whatever happens, I mean if you can contact us about minor things as a cookout, I'm sure people would rather know about they're money more than anything first hand.  I have talked to people who have written checks for mortgages among other things that are taking hits for someone carelessness.  This is total ridiculous in my mind, and shameful that we're paying union dues, but not receiving valuable information, no matter how small they may think it to be, I'm done venting...stay strong 1268 members!   Mad

I agree with you lokeedone. You know darn well that management isnt missing a beat with their checks.  I find it sad that when they make a mistake they ( management ) dont have the courage to stand up and ADMIT when they have screwed up. ( of course they are so perfect they dont mess up Wink )  BUT when employees do something wrong or make a mistake and rightfully admit to their mistake they get dogged by them.

My call date is every Monday and there is NO reason for me not getting my check!! What i don't understand is that our call date was 2 weeks ago and with in those 2weeks they some how couldn't get it done!? And noone had the nerve to tell anyone they wern't getting their checks but they came up with an excuse awfully quick. Hey union leders just cause were not working dosen't mean we need to get the sh-t end of the deal!!!
