Idea  With the help of my wife and a very helpful & friendly hotel manager in Kenosha, we have been working on setting up a deeply discounted weekly room rate for BAP transfers to receive at a local hotel within the city.

Unless things change, the room rate will be $45 per night (weekly rate / 5-days or more) and could hold up to 3 people (2-queens & sofa sleeper) with the current setup and rate with NO EXTRA charge for more occupants. Yes, with three people at this rate that would be $15 per person each day before taxes. I have a road trip scheduled to verify all of this in person and I'll update here soon with more information.

Comfort Suites in Kenosha Wisconsin
7206 122nd Avenue
Kenosha, WI 53142
(262) 857-3450

Special $45 per day (1 or 7 nights) rate
available for BAP Belvidere Assembly Plant transfers:

- Thanks to my wife & the hotel manager for their help setting this up for us. The room rate is fixed no matter how many people per room so add roommates on your own to reduce your daily cost. I went there today with my wife and looked over the hotel and a room in person. They are very nice rooms, the hotel was remodeled just a year ago. The 1st floor rooms have very high 10-12 foot ceilings, nice for tall guys like me. The hotel is also in a great location (near the new business district) with many useful nearby businesses (Wendy's, McDonald's, Cracker Barrel) within walking distance. Woodman's grocery store is just around the corner too, but I wouldn't consider that walking distance since you need to go under the highway/overpass to get there.

PROMO CODE: BAP

* 5-day or more weekly rate / $45 per day (1-king or 2-queen suite w/ sofa sleeper)

* 2-rooms with privacy door between rooms. (beds & sofa sleeper/living room)

* 2-TV's, one in each section of room

* Free daily full breakfast buffet

* Free wireless wi-fi internet in all rooms  Smile

* 24-hour pool, hot tub & exercise room

* Refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker

Hi Brian,

good work, nice idea to arrange for special discounted rooms. Hope all goes well for you "exports."

You know down here they have taken the Hyundai and Mitsubishi logos off of the Dundee GEMA "joint venture" engine plant. Guess Sergio was jealous.

I know 180+ signed to go to KEP and I know of a guy that was 110 on the list and he is currently working at KEP. Since people came to KEP from BAP out of order of seniority (due to training at BAP) and the 110 guy mentioned above came in one of the first groups, I can't give a final number because it's all mixed up.

Comfort Suites UPDATE - I've spoken with the manager John and BAP Chrysler transfers WILL RECEIVE the $45 per night rate for 1 or 7 nights a week. It's been brought to my attention that some had previously been refused the $45 rate for only a one night stay and some others had been mistakenly charged a $60 rate. Go figure, Chrysler is not the only business will a lack of communication.   Laughing

If you have any problems receiving the $45 rate with the BAP promo code, please ask for the manager John by name. If it's at night and John is not working, just agree to the whatever rate they give you to stay and tell them to leave a message for John to contact you about the rate. Trust me, John is very friendly and will give you the $45 rate.

Well tonight (Wednesday) I seen some of the people from the most recent group of transfers from BAP hit the shop floor. Just like KEP did with my group, their group was all on day shift for two days (Mon-Tues) for orientation. They received their job and shift assignment before leaving Tuesday and reported to work on the floor on Wednesday.

Some of these transfers are staying at the Comfort Suites hotel enjoying the deeply discounted rate of $45, $51.08 total after taxes. One person with two roommates (remember - sofa sleeper) you only pay $17.03 each. A 5-day work week you only pay for 4-nights (Check-in Monday & check-out Friday morning before work) for a total of $68.12 and drive home after work Friday.

Not a bad deal considering what is left over from our weekly travel allowance and the fact that we can check-out and leave Kenosha whenever Chrysler tells us to without any lease or other bills to worry about.

If I don't see all of you before you read this, WELC Cool ME to Kenosha!
