What do YOU think?
Is it worth paying out £400+ for a PS3 if you do not have an HD TV?
The next Gen are obviously meant to be played in HD. BUT if i'm spending that sort of money on the machine it is going to put back (even further) the date to which I can afford a HDTV. and therefore i'm not getting the best out of the machine I just spent 400 notes on.
Now I know that the most popular answer that will come out of some of the clan is going to be buy an peugeot 306 (sorry xbox360) but the problem remains that i wont be getting the best out of it.
What do you think?

I have to say the 360 has been worth every penny so far. Not had a chance to play the PS3 so i cant compare. But if you like your online gaming the 360 set up is pretty sweet.

Yeah i've played a fair bit on my mates 360, PGR3, GRAW1&2, gears o war is fantastic especially when you get the hiding correct it works brilliantly. also played a fair bit of ps3 now tho, motorstorm and res fom are ok but have much love for NBA homecourt at the mo a stonking new version of NBA STREET.
Also PS3 has no yearly subscription, whereas i think the xbox is like 40 squids a year. might not sound much but thats like a new game every year.

i have nt got a HDTV yet i will wait for the prices to drop on them for sure, but you can get the console when you want as it still is brilliant even without using HD,
remamber if you want HD badly just play PC games as they are all HD lol, like BF1942 for £5 and boom your in detail that smashes consoles to bits and that game is 7 years old and it runs well on my slow laptop, yes it take a day or so to set up but its well worth it
but Gam....just get a x360 before we buy ps3 next year(0

i have ps3 and xbox 360 and do NOT have a hdtv you can still see the benifits loads from ps2 and xbox but it would be better in hd.. im waiting for the prices to drop on the hdtv's so i can get one of them!! |
