I've been thinking for the past 48 hours about whether or not to post this.  ****Warning****These are my own thoughts.  Nothing more.

5 years ago today I was in Afghanistan.  6 years ago I was getting ready for my AT for the National Guard.
After September 11th, I readily volunteered with the taste of blood in my mouth and tears in my eyes.  Every time I heard "God bless the U.S.A." It brought many emotions to me.  I wanted to fight for the country that I loved.  I believed that we were doing the right thing there.  I still do.  I believed that our country would not return to its Anti-Vietnam mentality.  I also believed that our Constitution would not be changed.  I believed in Bush and Company.

2004, I voted to reelect Bush.  THATS RIGHT I DID.

I have never trusted the Democrats.  Ever since Clinton, I knew they were a bad thing.

Today, Our constitution is now under attack more than ever.  Our country is under attack.  Not just by terrorist.  But by those that WE have voted into office.

The Illinois legislature is attacking us.  Well, it is those in Chicago who are attacking us, the others (southern democrats, and the IL-GOP), who have been neutered.  They don't have the will to fight.  The Illinois Constitution specifically states "...the right of the individual to keep and bare arms shall not infringed."
No one in Illinois does anymore.

I have begun to loose faith in our government.

Bush has totally turned tail on the immigration issue.  What ever happened to National Law?  Why do we have those of ALL races and countries being able to walk across the border and get amnesty?  What happened to the pro-gun legislation we were promised from the GOP?

Its all gone.  This country is about to change for the worst.

Anyhow, I digress.  This Memorial day has really got me thinking.  Would I have volunteered for Active Duty if 9-11 happened today?
I'm sad to say NO.  I couldn't in good faith fight for her.  I cannot put my life, my family, and my soul on the line for a republic that is hell bent on taking away our way of life anymore.  I didn't join the NG for college money like most kids today.  I specifically volunteered for a post in active duty that would have a high chance of deployment to a combat zone, for revenge.  I believed that our way of life, Our Constitution was under attack.

I listened to God bless the U.S.A. today.  I know longer had those feelings of pride anymore.  I am ashamed to say that I am no longer proud to be an American.  For those vets on here, I am sorry.  What is the point of what we have done for a nation who is led by nothing but corrupt people who claim to "listen to their people", when none of them do.

I apologize to all if my post offends any of you.  I don't see any way of being proud of the U.S. until there is another rebellion on a large scale to get those in the State and Federal Capitols attention.  Until our Constitution is safe from the hands of tyrants such as Reed, Pelosi and Bush...

"Let Valor Not Fail!"

Doc Out!

I can handle the Truth, ILSTATEMILITIA.  and it seems to me as tho you are truthful in your feelings.

It is clearly evident that to me that you anguish.  And I know some of why you are having those feelings.  you long for Justice.

Justice has been denied you.  And I know you are aware of my feelings on that account.

I do not have the answers you seek.  But I do hold you and yours up to the power of our powerful God, through, Jesus each day.

Please know that my feelings are sincere, while I write of my concerns rather vaguely.  The latter out of respect for you.  And your suffering.

Respectfully

CDJ

ILSTATEMILITIA,

Nobody likes my posts.  They are too long.  But, I hope that you will find some benefit in this and will read it.

In the 1970s I manned the borders.  And when it was my turn to speak out publicly, the Klan would accuse me of trying to "soft sell" racism.   But, in my mind I was doing the right thing by advocating the same things that many people are telling you they want in terms of "protecting our borders."

In the 1970s and early 1980s the courts outlawed border patrols set up through the efforts of David Duke of the Ku Klux Klan.  The Klan was the first of the type of border patrols you see today, so make no mistake... the rhetoric, the talking points, even the statistics and the methodology belong to the Ku Klux Klan and specifically people like David Duke and Don Black.  So, for good or for bad, you now know the history behind what you've been indoctrinated with.

In the time period when I was doing the border patrol thing, I thought about the situation twenty years down the road.  Well, it's now twenty years later.  And the Hispanics who came across the border "illegally" then (and today) were given opportunities to join the military in exchange for citizenship.  Some of them intermarried with Americans.  Many had children born in the United States AND for at least thirty years the courts have treated those children as United States citizens.  BTW, the Constitution makes NO requirement that the parents be "legal" citizens.

In that period, American corporations hired "illegal aliens," landlords rented to "illegals,"; property owners sold to "illegals," and down the line to people like you and I who frequented businesses that were working those "illegals."  In short, ALL of us have sinned and broken the law.  So, as a practical matter, it only makes sense right now to let the government grant amnesty to the Hispanics.  Why?  I'll answer that question with a question.  What are the alternatives?

A judge fines an "illegal" alien for a minor traffic offense.  He then accepts the money and puts the "illegal" back into society.  So, that judge just put a felon back on the streets.  That judge just broke the law.  Do you honestly think our system of jurisprudence will put judges into prison?  So, right there you have a situation where the "illegal alien" should be treated like EVERYONE else.  You nor I want a society that operates on a selective prosecution basis.  You don't want that because some day YOU might be the one being prosecuted while others are going free over activities related to the same "illegal" activity.  Example:  If someone sold you an unregistered machinegun and you were charged with buying it and possessing it, but they went free, you would be really urinated off.  But, that's selective prosecution.

Today, the lying politicians have us by the family jewels.  And we cannot vote our way out of the predicament NOR can we succumb to believing that an unconstitutional and un-Godly government will deliver us from the judgment that has been brought to bear on these wicked people.

The Bible teaches us,  "Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil . . ." (Exodus 23:2)

On all sides we find ourselves surrounded with no easy answers.  If you give the corrupt government more power, it will be no less than allowing the fox to guard the chicken house; if you fail to challenge the liberals, the democans and republicrats, etc. then you lose by default; if you do nothing you lose.

But, consider that a government that does not represent you wants more power, more control, with the promise of temporary safety.  After seeing how bad they've already screwed this country, do you still trust them with that much power?

ILSTATEMILITIA,

Just wanted to drop you a quick note.  A big thank you (a day late I know since yesterday was Veteran's Day).  I said a prayer for you yesterday that you found comfort as a Veteran.  Post 9-11 life today is much different than it was 6 years ago.  I lived in NY on 9-11.  My oldest daughters school was in lockdown.  My brother was in NYC and I was riding an ambulance to NYC.  I lost many good friends that day and like you wanted revenge.  Today, the World has changed, our government has lied to us and sold us out to foreign countries.  We give away our sovereignty and treat our Constitution like a rag.

Don't lose your pride in being American.  Americans, True Americans who believe in the truths of the Constitution: the belief that we are all created equally.  You gave this country a great service - you fought for what YOU believed in, the problem is that the government that is in power and Yes, I voted for Bush too, no longer fights for your beliefs.

We are finding a community here.  I am watching it grow stronger each week.  I am sorry this post is long, but I have to quote a great writer in this forum Enforcer once wrote that Jesus had 12 desciples and changed the world - we must all stand together for what we believe in.  We must support one another.  I am learning so much from each and every one of you, my family prays for you each night.
