Cheap gun but a great gun!! Like he said , Cheap shootng. Ive seen a 1000 rounds in a crate at the Nashville Tn. gun shows for a $100 last month. |

alright, something is wrong with you people if you can only hit human sized targets at 100 yards. i hit 5x5 inch splashes at 200 with ease (using iron sights). i'm confident that if i had to hit anything bigger than that at 300 I could with little difficulty. maybe not a head shot, but center mass is mine (give or take 5-8 inches of deviation). the ar can deffinatly take further targets, but it is my understanding that very rarely does a firefight carry on beyond 300 yards. i will give this much: the ak is no sniper rifle, but it's not meant to be. maybe your using wolf ammo. there are much better rounds out there for the same price (i use brown bear and am very satisfied). also, some of those mil-surp ak's are beat up (ie pitted barrels), so doing a little bit of work may be in order. chromed barrels are forever, baby.

Firefight's happen from 0-50m,atleatsthats how far they used to be.... I have never had a problem at all with Wolf ammo it always gives me excellent accuracy. Brown Bear is great stuff too, it's made by Barnaul.

I love my MAK & my new WSAR10. they are the best MBR for the terrian in my A.O. 75-80 yards is the average shot around here unless you are on a pipeline or Utility right of way or in town and then in most places you're stretching to get a 100yard shot.
10 mags single stack are for sale @ surplusrifle.com if I remember right. |

If anyone has one of those Mosin-nagant rifles they want to sell, let me know. Haven't seen many around here, and the ones I have are junk. Pitted, cracked stocks, etc. |

I will have to agree with you rpoe_x2; there is something wrong with them.
They need to practice I can repeatedly hit an 18" gong @ 400yds with my AK. And can repeat it with my mosin nagant M44 shooting iron sights.
A guy at the range was calling my M44, communist junk until I shot in competition against him and his match M1 Grrand, I didn't win but it impressed him enough that he doesn't call it names.
You are right too saying that rarely does a firefight carry on beyond 300 yards. Why, that is sniper country. Most shooters will hit & miss beyond 200yds in a fight.  |
