Greetings and welcome to the Liberty Forum.  This forum is the official site for the Militia of Georgia and those state militias networking with us.  Before you begin posting you will need to know and understand the rules of this board and the purpose for which this board was created.

Bear in mind that we have another board that goes more in depth with discussion and debate as to how we arrive at certain conclusions and develop our policies.  This board is primarily for information, education, networking, and sharing news.  It is not geared for in depth debate nor is it intended for those seeking an entertainment venue.  For that, you will be directed to our mirror site.  With that in mind, here are our very simple and basic rules:

1)  When you register on this site, you are agreeing to allow us to send you occasional e - mails about important events and news that affects those in the militia.  By being a member on this board, you are agreeing that you will not include those occasional e - mails to be considered as SPAM.  We cannot "delete" you from those rare contacts.  You would have to delete your account here in order to stop them (usually a dozen, more or less per year)

2)  We do not allow anything illegal on this site.  You agree by joining us you agree that you will not advocate nor condone illegal activity to take place on this board and / or in your dealings relative to this board

3)  This is a site frequented by young and old with differing sensibilities.  Please refrain from unnecessary dirty words, threatening language, obscenities, etc.

4)  No personal attacks (badgering, berating, etc.) on posters nor the staff here will be tolerated

5)  Before you get defensive about a posting, ask questions first before assuming that a poster is targeting you for a personal attack

6)  If you are using this board merely to recruit, please use the Check in forum to leave your link

7)  As always, while we would fight for the death for your right to speak your opinion we feel that a person has a right to that opinion, but nobody has a right to be wrong in their facts.  So, your facts may be challenged.  That is not an attack on the individual.  It is only a quest for the truth

Okay, we hope that is enough rules and that you will treat us the way you want to be treated so that additional rules  will not have to be contemplated.  Welcome to the board and enjoy your stay.

When we started the board I did not think that people would use the degree of psychopolitics that have become the norm here.  One thing some insecure posters do in order to discourage readers from following an entire thread is to quote a long post in its entirety.

So, from here forward, if you are responding to someone else, DO NOT QUOTE THE ENTIRE POST!  Quote only those portions you wish to address.  Nobody is going to read the same post over and over just to see what you say about one or two sentences in a dozen paragraph posting.

The first time you do it, we will refer you to the rules and give you an opportunity to bring your post into compliance before it gets deleted.  The second time, we will warn you and delete the offending post.  A third violation of this rule will get you locked out of the board.  Hope you understand.
