I was likewise distracted by a really dumb idea I had to help unite the militias and seek some common ground.
The new board brought all the people with an axe to grind and virtually nobody new that wanted to work on establishing a meeting of the minds. For the first time since I've been involved in patriotism, I can say the New World is NOT coming soon... it's ALREADY HERE!
Many out there know what is required at a minimum: Your bug out bag, your weapon (s) and field gear, survival supplies, ability to live for a few weeks from of your supplies at home. You need some communications gear, an evacuation / rendezvous plan, and some sources of worthwhile intel.
If you get serious, you know that you will have to acquire much more. BTW, I'm doing a thread you'll find useful on communications over on the National Militia Forum. Check this thread:
Am ready and willing, it just seems the sheep won't budge as far as recruiting. Everyone is happy with their widescreen tv's , Rv's, and beer. Women...forget it. Most are taking kids to soccer games, malls, and going to beauty shops. They all could care less. The only thing that might get them awake is the government to be caught outright killing civilians again or worse...I really don't know what could be worse except maybe opening our borders to the hoards.....oh thats right, they are doing it already.....hmmmm.
I'm not saying this to be a smart a$$, but just frustrated at watching the country fall apart. What are we to do? Who will lead us? ???????
Hey Ronin, not ALL women... some of us are just as willing and are probably better prepared than most of our male neighbors. Don't underestimate us believe me I am just as frustrated, but just as willing.

Your frustration is aimed at recruiting people into the "movement" (for lack of a more descriptive adjective.) And my frustration lies in the fact that the ONLY issue that is keeping the militia members in the "movement" is the damn immigration issue. And it's driving me nuts.
The people in the militia are worried about the border and that entire issue is being used to attack us on all fronts. It is the pretext needed to keep us in a catatonic state, much like a trance... unable to see that it is being manipulated in order to con us into accepting slavery and tyranny on the installment plan.
I'd still like to generate some debate / discussion but nobody seems to be into reading. Check out the thread. NOBODY to date has found a factual error in the facts presented.
BTW, over 90 percent of the American people don't care about the immigration issue. We should generate some discussion on the bread and meat issues that catapulted the militia into the national spotlight a decade or so back.
From my perspective it seems that the immigration issue keeps people distracted because they can focus energy on someone other than the U.S. Government (as well as the Gov). It gives them some sense of accomplishing something, it seems.
I was involved in a "border militia" very briefly, that went to help the people rebuild what illegals tore down (fences, water supplies etc) as well as help guard the homes of people on the border. I was too late in joining up because the group got sued before I got involved, by illegals, and they won the property of an American citizen. What BS !! They shoulda shot them since dead people can't be plaintiffs! But I digress!
Since then I have come to the opinion that illegal immigration is a judgement by the Almighty upon a nation of spoiled brats. How does one make a spoiled brat appreciate something? TAKE IT AWAY. That's exactly what's happening to this nation... as far as EVERY "right" that exists. There's too many spoiled brats in America!!
Anyhow, I have given up on the illegal immigration issue and focused on the absolute last resort we have...secession from the motherless whore corporately known as THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
I have seen where the corporate Whore (USA Inc.) has used the bait and switch tactic of illegal immigration to, as enforcer puts it, bring in the NWO on the installment plan at the request of the Citizens. The issue is being used to get people to request to be walled in, get microchips, relinquish property and on and on.

I must confess, I made a mistake mentioning women. My wife is right up there with you(At times more of a firebreather than myself). We just get so frustrated talking to people, men and women, that just don't get it. It is more than just getting together shooting guns. It is about the freedoms that are being out right stolen from us daily. We either organize now and stand together as a force, or just cower in our corners while Big Brother throws on the chains.
Yes, recruiting does bother me because it shows that when presented with the facts, in my eyes, most people don't give a crap. One thing does make me feel better though, there are people here, on this forum, that are here because they want to make a change. Though we may be few, we are here.
Maybe we should worry about those we have, train, and go on with the job at hand. If I remember correctly from my history lessons, it was less than 10 percent of the nation that actually got worked up enough to get the ball rolling during the Revolution. Well, if we could organize the patriots we have out there, I think we may have enough. Just food for thought.

Well to start with using the words American & Patriots in the same sentence is almost a contradiction in terms.
Most Americans would not know how to start being patriotic.
I have been on other forums that say there all about saving the 2nd amendment, but start talking pro-assault rifle and these same people come unglued.
How can you be for the 2nd amendment and be against any gun just because of looks, or how much damage it could cause.
A 30-06 hunting load or a 12ga deer slug will cause a lot more damage than a .223 or a 7.62x39FMJ.
Do you think our forefathers could pick & choose what arms they were using to defeat the British?

The people of the US had better wakeup & see that the real terrorist is to the south of us. Not in some oil field in the mid-east. The real terrorist is flooding our streets with drugs & freeloaders. Dragging down our populatition & our resources to the point that we can't afford to fix our streets, or help our own people.
But you are right that we are back in bondage so to speak, it is almost as bad as our forefathers had under British rule. We are being told how to raise our children, we are getting pushed out of the work place, and the Homeland Defense is looking into our every move (for our own protection), you might as well call them the KGB.

Insofar as the real problem being south of the border, you may have missed my thread The Last Illegal Immigration Thread. Check it out and you'll see why blaming the hispanics is NOT the big problem that the NWO has led us to believe it is.
The REAL problem in the United States is the American sheeple and the way they are screwing themselves. Although we can point a finger at almost any boogeyman, the moment we do, we find that as we point, there are at least three fingers pointing at us. I'd suggest you read that other thread mentioned above and find out why NO anti - immigration advocate has dared to spar with me on a level playing field.
