The Rough Draft is much like a template. If you find the place where you thought something should be taken away or added to, then you should quote which paragraph that needs to be tweaked.
What you have is a competing document. Maybe you should have presented this weeks ago, if that is what you intended. We are down to the wire on this one. I only have until the end of this week to make the final adjustments.
CDJ, the Rough Draft IS a big deal. We need support and signers to the final draft the day it is posted on the board. And more than that, it is NOT some piece of paper you sign and then say the Hell with. We have to get our excrement together and speak with a united voice. The final draft of this document will be our line in the sand, so to speak. It will be the document that separates the wheat from the chaff. There is a reason that the final version will mean more than the other competing documents in cyberspace.
If you want some place where your ideas can be implemented in the Rough Draft, please start with a quote from which paragraph you want to change, then rewrite those sentences you want changed or the stuff you want added in. Maybe what you have to say is already there.
Obviously I did not articulate myself very well. My apologies. Let me respond to your post in the hopes that everyone can benefit from our exchange.
Under our new rules, posters are NOT permitted to quote an entire post any longer. Check in the MISSION STATEMENT / RULES forum to see the new rule regarding the practice of quoting an entire post.
Again, this Rough Draft is a template which was designed to be changed or tweaked. If you see something which should be reconsidered, you simply cut and paste the PARAGRAPH into your reply and then tell us how it should read. Hopefully, before the week-end, I should be finished. Then again, there seems to be a flurry of new readers here and now there are people finally reading this. I urge everyone to HURRY if they see something that needs changing. We have a deadline if this is to ever mean anything at all.
The final product will have some changes that were suggested during the course of this thread.
The paragraph that deals with property rights,,,, shouldn't that include the taxation of property as a violation of our Constitution? I've read the draft and thats the only part I find missing. Click on that link and read that thread. When you find the paragraph you want to change, copy and paste the paragraph into a response on THIS thread along with how you think it ought to be reworded.
I looked that thread over and found a Right to Private Property, but admittedly, none of it dealt with the taxation of property. Hopefully somebody will help us make the change before people start showing public support for the NOTICE AND APPEAL.
