"As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the Son of man... Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot...even thus shall it be when the Son of man is revealed." (Luke 17:26-30)
The Bible is, in my opinion, very clear on the closing days. The people would start behaving as they did in the days of Noah... trading good for evil, calling good bad, etc.
There is no doubt that we have entered that period. Those who represent the good are ostracized in today's society. Good people are not ignored or simply tolerated. They are ridiculed.
Earlier in my youth it was pretty much accepted that America was built upon Christian presuppositions. Now we have the internet and a whole generation whose sole preoccupation is to somehow convince others that America was never founded on those fundamental Christian principles. Historical facts are taken out of context; false allegations bandied about as if they were manna from heaven.
I stumbled across a number of sites which try to "prove" that America was NOT founded upon Christian precepts. Most of them refer to the Treaty of Tripoli in 1797 and its wording that:
"As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen [Muslims] and as the said [United] States have never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan [Islamic] nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."
Yeah, it sounds bad, but it is being taken out of context. In order not to reinvent the wheel, follow this link and get the rest of the story:
Today, even amongst many of my peers, people are trading constitutional Liberties for the protection of an illegal (de facto) government; they fight amongst themselves rather than sit at the table of reason and DEBATE their cause (Proverbs 25: 9); they ridicule those who put their lives on the line in order to preserve Liberty rather than ask tough questions and engage in fact finding discussions.
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter (Isa 5:20).
There is a reason that we are the victims of high gasoline prices and high taxes. There is a reason that America is about to become a haven for Muslims. There is a reason for the high inflation and low tolerance levels for Christians. There is a reason that your gun rights are about to become the subject of MASSIVE control and regulation. The good news is that we could do something about it.
So that I do not keep repeating what others have written (so much more eloquently than I could), let me leave you with another link:
