· Quote

If you're a fan of the M-14 type rifle, you might want to go over to the Sadlak Industries web site:  http://www.sadlak.com/pdf/Tactical_Mag_Latch_2008_June.pdf
and check out their new "Tactical Magazine Release Latch"  Right now it's on sale for $28 until July 31, 2008, and if you go in with a couple buddies, you can each get one and pay no shipping!  You can't beat that.

I ordered one, installed it, and tried quick mag changes on my M14 type rifle.  All I can say is that maybe a second and a half had been shaved off my quickest mag change prior to having their new release.

Changes:  It's about twice as big as the issue releast latch and has vertical grooves that allow you to keep a sure grip with your thumb.

Installation:  Is kind of frustrating due to the strong tensile strength of the Magazine Release Latch Spring, but it gives you good cause to clean and lube the sling up with something waterproof as it's not accessible during normal maintenance (I used 'Gunslick' as it's waterproof and has graphite in it to boot).

Is it worth it??  YOU BET YOUR LIFE (because that's what you do every time you choose or choose not to make an expenditure that will improve your rifle's inherent performance).

Hope this post helps you out!
