Is there anybody out there?I have to say this is the most quiet forum I have ever seen.Dont get me wrong, there is lots of info in the old threads but I was hoping to see a little more communication going on.Oh well I'll keep reading the old stuff.
I'm thinking people are out and about preparing. I, for one, don't have as much time as I used to gettin' on the 'net. _________________ Don't Tread On ME....lest my fangs wind up in your foot !

RESPONSE: At least a couple of us are reading your posts. I do agree with you that this is the most quiet forum on the internet. It's frustrating and almost aggravating, but I have nobody to blame but myself, reddog.
A few years ago we had a rather large discussion board. It was built by a member who then told everyone he was "turning it over" and I became the admin. After building it up, that guy decided to sneak back into the board, lock me out as admin and take over. Needless to say, that novice mistake did NOTHING to inspire confidence in the people who trust the internet and electronic communications.
Then we had another board and I ignorantly allowed detractors to attack me personally with impunity. AND that board's server went down. That cost us a lot of members.
Now, when you add all that to my personal belief that we should have freedom of the press to include all sides of an issue and you get people who don't want to participate. That doesn't mean they aren't reading the posts. It's just that a lot of people don't want to post on boards where there is real discussion and debate.
It's all baffling and confusing to me. I used to think that we should stand for the other guy's rights no matter how much we disagreed with him. I used to think that we had a moral duty to debate the issues (Proverbs 25: 9.) I used to think that we should debate in these forums so that once we had to defend our positions in bigger arenas (like on a major talk show or in front of a big crowd) we already knew what we would be hit with and how to counter it.
Unfortunately, most discussion boards quickly degenerate into clique groups. We bring a lot of people to the table. They then put on a dog and pony show as if they are going to join the militia. Once we help them establish a unit, they take their members and disappear into parts unknown. And the process is much like a revolving door... but, the consolation prize is that it happens on every patriot discussion board in America!
There is an advantage of this board even if you may not agree with some of the posters. If you hang around a bit, you find that a lot of the regulars here have much more experience than on the bigger boards. You find out we have much more accurate information and more practical ways to employ it. AND if you offer helpful info here, you can be assured that someone is trying to make use of it.
So keep coming back and posting. The more you and I do it, the more likely others will stop by and share their knowledge.
I am trying to read alot of the topics that have been posted and are being posted by members. I think that the internet is a good way to spread ideas and beliefs and to sometimes find like-minded people, however I would assume that discussion boards are limited in what they can do and I think that meeting in groups and in person helps to do things alot better too. I think in different times that people have done different kinds of things to discuss/debate and to come to conclusions and beliefs that help all peoples have their rights respected and their voices heard. In France, the radical jacobin political clubs were something that brought groups of people in urban environments together, as I see no reason why similar kinds of clubs couldnt happen in american cities solely for the purpose of americans to discuss the original principles of our nation and to take legal actions to help the people recover their rights. The members of militias also have every right to discuss politics and to uphold the constitution and help people. I think public speaking is going to be very important, because this is how the ideals of our country can be spread to people who never even knew of them. Generally, I think that people can do what they will if they put their minds to it and follow through with plans of legal actions, and thus we can do as we will especially since steps are being taken to formally solidify alliances, as with the Notice and Appeal. It is also important to keep moving and take further steps to keep growing and strengthening. Perpetual motion can be a necessary thing to keep movements going and to help grow into something stronger, just as depressions turn into storms and then finally into a hurricane.. The media will mean nothing in time if the word on the street is the truth because feelings will overwhelmingly turn against them and what they are propagating, and in turn, even they will have to follow what is popular once enough people start to believe in the original principles of our country. In this way freedom of speech will be key and there is reason to believe that in time our original form of government will be restored through legal and peaceful actions.
