To the people who are not frequent observers of militia activity, it would appear that the Militia of Georgia is breathing its last breath.  But, to those who have frequented the boards often enough, the detractors smell a renewed vigor in the air.  And today we are seeing evidence of that as one of the admins (namely me) is suddenly coming under fire from several fronts.

If you're new here, don't be dismayed.  Historians will tell you that World War I began in 1914 and ended in 1918.  I can tell you that World War I began in the book of Genesis and since that time there has been no cessation and no armistice in that war between good and evil.  What happens in the militia is a continuation of that conflict.

We are engaged in a war and it is as real as any battle fought in the pages of history.  Today, the people have resorted to propaganda, misinformation, PSYOPS, censorship and mass hysteria.  This country was founded on the premise that you should have a freedom of the press.  Then the double agents decided that you could only have freedom of the press if you were rich enough to own one.  And today their internet mercenaries are busy trying to dominate the internet and the places where patriots frequent.  And so, I'd like to set the record straight for all of you:

I started out in the militia in 1987.  At that time I already had over a decade of experience in law, politics and Political Action Committees.  Since that time we have seen the Militia of Georgia with as many as 12,000 members and supporters and as few as a dozen.  But, no matter what trials and tribulations this organization has gone through, we have NEVER lost any member to a jail cell for militia related activity.

When I first got introduced to the internet, I went to one of those mega sized patriot sites and wrote generically about the trials and tribulations we were going through in Georgia when political opportunists tried to stage a coup on the MOG organization.  Since no names were mentioned nor places, I got e - mails from California, Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky and South Carolina thanking me for exposing what was going on in their state.  The fact scenario which was happening in Georgia was going on in half a dozen other states.

The attacks against militia organizations - and virtually ALL Political Action Committees and special interest groups are all the same and they are part of the landscape.  But, life goes on.  War isn't fair nor pretty.  It's uncomfortable.

The worst enemy the patriots have is not Jack Booted Thugs; it isn't the government that seeks to take away your rights; it isn't even terrorists from a foreign land.  Our worst enemies are hiding in our own midst.  They are unwilling to allow the movement to grow.  They throw rocks at the people trying to make a difference.  They are like blisters... you know, those things that appear AFTER the work is done.

I'm being up front and honest with you - brutally honest.  The militia is not for the timid nor the faint of heart.  It is not for the indecisive nor the procrastinators.  The movie Braveheart was based upon a factual part of history.  Since I don't have any moving words of my own, I'd like to quote something from the script of that movie:

William: Yes, I've heard. Kills men by the hundreds, and if he were here he'd consume the English with fireballs from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his ass. I am William Wallace, and I see before me an army of my countrymen here in defiance of tyranny. You have come to fight as free men, and free men you are. What would you do without freedom? Will you fight?

Tall soldier: Fight against that? No, we will run, and we will live.

William: Ay, fight and you may die, run and you'll live. At least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom.

Now, you know how I operate.  If there is any interest, we will explore how the enemies of the militia operate.  Lord knows I've witnessed the Standard Operating Procedures over a dozen times.  If not, at least you know that the war of words you'll hear and read are being put out by people who are trying to discredit our efforts because they fear we may get public support.  And that would be bad for the New World Order and it would be bad for disinformation artists posing as patriots who would lose their power base IF the people decide to rise up and resist the final stages of the American take-over which we all realize is in progress.

May I ask what brought this on? I realize that there are few posters here compared to the OLD board, but that one spun out of control (as you well know). Is there still something going on in the background that caused you to post this. I wish we could all just get going on the same path.

Phoenix,

ONE of the issues that brought this on was an inference that there was some "dirty laundry" and then the poster said we'd talk about it in private.  WTF?  By making such a ludicrous allegation, that poster made the supposed issue public.  But, the reality is there is no dirty laundry - except in that guy's mind and if he pursued what he believes was a wrong to him, he'd get a real education.

Secondly, at our last meeting I specifically asked everyone NOT to give out names or the number of attendees.  Well, night before last, someone calls me up and tells me everything that went on in that meeting - along with the information I asked be kept confidential.  And those detractors are on this board.  We had a rat in the meeting who, in my opinion, shouldn't be in the patriot movement.

Finally, we had ANOTHER board for a while which was set up for a different purpose.  Socialists, posing as patriots, used the power of mob rule to shut that board down and disallow discussion and debate on important issues.  And those guys have come here to disrupt our efforts here.

The Rules Committee in the Militia of Georgia has allowed some people to stay on the rolls after those people have violated their argreements with us.  When I've taken the initiative to toss those people out, I've been met with great resistance.  But, bottom line Phoenix:  My dertractors have staged mini coups that failed to get them very many followers.  They set up competing militias and within a year they have lost all the people they have stolen from us.

That situation is a perpetual occurence in ALL militias in ALL states.  We have not recruited in a couple of years now, allowing my critics the space they needed to show why they are all that and a bag of chips.  Where is the fruit of their labors?  Where is their great militia organization that has throngs of followers and can boast of either legislative or judicial victories?

America ignored the immigration issue and pretended it didn't exist.  Then, one day everyone woke up to find that you could not reverse what just happened.  When John Adams said that "Liberty once lost is lost forever" it had a relevance.  It had a meaning.  Today, on issues like immigration, gun control, private property Rights, etc. they cannot be won in the legislative arena.  And we can't keep screwing around, debating the rightness of the cause.  Look, our forefathers once wrote:

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
Samuel Adams

"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
Samuel Adams

And finally:

"To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men."
Abraham Lincoln

I cannot stand silent when America is being destroyed.  And I must be closest to the target.  I draw the most fire.  We may not like the dissention, the controversy and the B.S.  But, to ignore it only allows it to keep repeating itself.  Addressing it here and showing other states how to properly address it may give them hope that they can deal with the internal disruptions which keep the patriot movement from gaining any ground.

I'm glad that I've kept this post going.  We have a chance to be really educational on this.  In my opinion, when people read of controversies and / or heated discussions on a discussion board, some will complain about what is termed as "in - fighting."  Others say that the boards are no place to air "dirty laundry."  The amazing thing, those most predisposed to say things like that will be the first to hint at them without discussing them.

So, is it fair to suggest that there is some dirty laundry to be aired out and then after having made the suggestion, refuse to discuss it in the same forum the allegations were made in?

This is just my opinion here, but discussion boards are very small and generally consist of those who want to work together and discuss things of a common interest.  Don't you think that it would be more prudent to hash out disagreements on the boards rather than to wait when you're working on a joint project and then have the disagreement in public where the controversy is being milked for its entertainment value on the evening news?

Look at what happened to the so - called "Minuteman Project" when they took their "dirty laundry" in front of mainstream America.  They wound up in court and have irreversibly damaged their own cause.  Today, the courts and the lawyers will take the lion's share of the money the people donated to the anti - immigrant lobby.   In the Militia of Georgia, I choose NOT to make that mistake.

So, when disagreements arise, I say let's use the board to get to the bottom of them and then we can move forward while minimizing the possibility that our disagreements may be played out on CNN and / or Fox News to our detriment.

I believe that "if" there is truly "dirty laundry" to be resolved it should be done via PM's and NOT out in the public eye. If we are to present a "Positive" front for all to see so that we may acquire new and valued Patriots they don't want to come and hear a bunch of whining. We are all adults and should work to resolve whatever issues we have so that we can "Move Forward". As you have said in the past we keep going 1 step forward 2 steps back. If we are to grow we need to grow up........This is not being pointed at ANYONE in particular this is just my opinion. The JBT's won't be worrying about us because we will just beat ourselves to death and they will clean up afterwards.  Is that what we want?  Not me !!
All I can say is that I am preparing no matter what. I hope you are also. We need to prepare "Together" as there is strength in numbers, but we already know this.

just my .02

RESPONSE:  I've mulled this over for a couple of days.  And this thread is about to go into a direction I hadn't anticipated.  You see, I agree that we need to be preparing, but the fact is I HAVE been preparing for years.

Some years ago I distributed a  preparedness questionnaire to a large militia gathering of about 75 or so people.  I told the audience that they didn't have to turn the questionnaire in, but to complete it and then see how prepared they really were.  The audience was told this questionnaire was for their benefit, not the benefit of the militia.

At night's end, virtually ALL of those questionnaires lay on tables, never having been filled out and taken by the attendees.  It was at that point I realized how screwed we really were.  We spend inordinate amounts of time pontificating about how to survive, train, the best weaponry and the latest gadgetry.  We watch endless hours of videos about how rotten things are and visit all kinds of sites where the political gurus give us their take on the world.

At the end of the day we walk away not really knowing what it is we are preparing for and what we need to trying to avoid.  Yesterday's villian (like anti - gun John McCain) becomes today's hero.  The evils we fought against yesterday (be it National ID, womb to the tomb monitoring, or maybe the evisceration of the Constitution) become the bandwagons upon which today we will hitch our horses.

We've not been able to press forward because we don't know who the enemy is.  We'll vote for a liberal like McCain and we allow a traitor like Obama to run for public office.  We listen to kosher conservatives on the radio who want to convince us that the POLICE STATE and the so - called   "Patriot Act" are good things.

So, the question in my mind is, what exactly is it we are preparing for?  I started the Rough Draft so that we could define who we are and what it is we want.  Unfortunately, not many are participating in that endeavor and we've got to ask ourselves why not.  If we start talking about a face to face with our neighbor, it gets some interest.  But, what shall we talk about?  If we are going to prepare together and network together, what are we preparing for?

I've spent more than twenty years in the militia.  If this were a paying position, I'd be near retirement today.  And through it all, I still don't understand what it is we're doing.  When I started out, we were demanding that the government observe and abide by the Constitution of the States united as it was originally written and intended.  But, every couple of years we see throngs of self proclaimed "patriots" jumping onto political bandwagons and supporting things that are clearly unconstitutional.  How can we expect our leaders to abide by the laws when we don't do so in our own lives?  And if we're merely going to react every time Uncle Scam beats his drums, I ask again what it is we are preparing for?

The key thing which brought this thread up was the way we, as a movement (for lack of a more descriptive adjective) approach this matter of being citizen soldiers / patriots.  It appears to me that not only do we NOT have a document which ties us together by ideology, but many will do their dead level best to prevent us from uniting under common beliefs, goals and / or objectives.  And the logic is simple: it allows some people to proclaim their patriotism without having to commit to anything.

The Rough Draft separates the wheat from the chaff; the cyberspace phonies from the dedicated patriots; the dreamers from the doers.  And in doing so, many people are now fearful for their positions in the movement (again a word used for lack of a more descriptive adjective.)  Oh, many said they were ready to put the past behind us and unite for a common good.  But, in other threads it appears that if the hatchet gets buried, it will be in someone's head.  Well, beloved, the movement cannot progress until we've clearly identified the evil from the good.  Militias in virtually every state have perished over the same issues.  But, I'm here today to tell you that I've come with a flashlight so that we can see how to get out of the quagmire and darkness.  I'm going to come back to this thread and discuss "dirty laundry."  It'll take a few postings, but we will use a little truth detergent and some forgiveness fabric softener.  In the end, we will know who the enemy is and how we can turn defeat into victory.  Bear with me.  This thread will be well worth your time.

Let me take the time right now to Apologise to those of you in the movement for any thing i may have done or said that has possibly set the movemnet back.
My first love is to my country and it was her who i had in mind .
I would ask all who are reading this post to stop the in-fighting NOW.
You will see nothing negative against any fellow militiaman from me here.
All other matters will be handled responsibly.
Read the ROUGH DRAFT  get with it,or get out of the way.
But i think its also time for the RoughDraft to be a HARD-COPY.
Enforcer has the LEAD.

I told you that we were going to talk about "dirty laundry" in this post and after you've looked at what I have to say, maybe you can see that we truly ARE on the dividing line between victory and death knell.  And, study this carefully.  You have the chance right here and right now to choose victory.

Back in about 1984 I was working as a lobbyist.  There was a bill to ban the sale of "armor piercing bullets."  The NRA was having all the lobbyists and local activists to keep the pressure on Congress to vote against the AP ban.  My congressman, Ed Jenkins, was non - commital.  But, I kept the pressure on him.  Months went by and I wasn't making headway.  Then, in late 1985, Jenkins summoned me to his office in Ellijay, Georgia.

Harlon Carter, who was president of the NRA had written letters to Jenkins telling him they would still endorse him if he voted for the AP bullet ban.  By 1985, only 21 members of Congress had the intestinal fortitude to vote against the so - called AP bullet ban.  That sell - out forced me to resign from the NRA.  But, one guy who stayed there, Neal Knox, was convinced that you could change the NRA by staying inside.

In retrospect, neither of us was right.  The people continued to support gun control on the installment plan - those who exited the NRA have not been able to build a financially powerful PAC (Political Action Committee) like the NRA.

When I pulled out of the NRA, I began working for like minded people, managing their campaigns and trying to organize small groups of people - and oddly, I was organizing with no end goal in mind.  As fate would have it, I crossed paths with Lt. Col. Gordon "Jack" Mohr (U.S. Army, retired) and he would become a co - founder of the Militia of Georgia and my mentor.  Also, having come from a broken home, Mohr became the father I never had as a kid.

Between seeing the political games that were played in the NRA; the political trickery that takes place in campaigns; Mr. Mohr's war stories, and then my own experiences with groups of people in the "patriot movement," I gained enough experience that I felt it was safe to draw upon it in making crucial decisions.

After a series of networking with self proclaimed patriots and right wing political groups, I called upon my closest friends to start an organization with an end run idea in mind.  We were constitutionalists with a survivalist ideology.  And in 1987 we became what is now the Militia of Georgia.

From 1987 thru 1995 the Militia of Georgia operated on the Leaderless Resistance module.    http://www.louisbeam.com/leaderless.htm

As you probably know, Leaderless Resistance is an idea put forth by Col. Ulius Louis Amoss in 1962 and then left to collect dust until a Ku Klux Klan leader by the name of Louis Beam dusted it off and published it in 1983.

Anyway, we tried it and in 1995, Timothy McVeigh was accused of blowing up the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.  That forced me into the public spotlight and onto television talk shows.  I disagreed with McVeigh's alleged actions - actually I could empathize with his frustration, but IF McVeigh blew up the Murrah building - and for the reasons given by the media - I could not endorse it.

Okay, I'll let you take this all in and conclude this in the next posting

I agree with Getawayman; We can go on forever pointing fiingers and and calling names... but is that going to contribute to any common goal?

Most of us are involved in the, MILITIA, movement because we love our country and believe the future is worth protecting for our family, the generations to come and for ourselves.

It's a lot easier to burn a bridge than to build the bridge back.

If we are going to be effective in recruiting and building interrest in the, MILITIA, movement, this inside fighting for all to see has got to stop.
Lets work to build, NOT DESTROY!

Let's get positive training started with unity!

I'll bet you're wondering what this trip down memory lane has to do with dirty laundry.  Well it's like this:

"Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it."  George Santayana

Over the course of time I had managed successful political campaigns, built strong Political Action Committees, and gotten the attention of some really impressive people.  Col Mohr was the first American captured in the Korean Conflict.  He was beaten and tortured; sentenced to death... and he escaped.  And he lived to fight again AND even write books and teach courses on PSYOPS and brainwashing.  There was Marvin Nash Worthy, a published historian (and co - founder of the Militia of Georgia.)  I'm sorry for going off on a tangent.  This thread can't hold all the names of those people.

Anyway, by 1996 I almost thought I was hot stuff - Mercedes in the driveway (paid for), Rolex on my wrist (paid for) and living in a brick house... (paid for.)  A short two years later I had used everything I owned to build the Militia of Georgia.  In 1998 we had a "Preparedness Expo" in Austell, Georgia.  John Trochmann of the Militia of Montana was there; Randy Weaver was there; Lt. Col. Bo Gritz came.  Mark Korneke (Mark from Michigan) attended.  Over a three day period, some 12,000 tickets to that event were sold.

I'm telling you all of this because as we approached the Y2K scare, I honestly believed that once people saw that Y2K was a cheap scare tactic - and we called it that in MOG - anyway, if the people realized we were right, MOG would earn its place in the public eye.

Y2K didn't pan out and the people, as a whole, acted as if they were disappointed that the world didn't end.  The entire "movement" DIED in a single day.  Still, I picked up and kept going.

Then, just after the Y2K incident, the Militia of Georgia was attacked, politically, by a MOG member named Paul Shuford and his buddy, Bud Murphy.  Shuford falsely accused me of trying to turn the militia into an "Identity Church."  Our list of members and supporters, some 1,600 strong was torn asunder and our support was cut in half.  Both Shuford and Murphy blamed me for the condition of the militia.  They claimed they could do better.

Well, we entered 2002 with somewhere around 800 to a thousand supporters.  The media claimed our  actual membership to be about 300.  Then a guy named Jack Sullivan and his girlfriend (or whatever she was) declared war on the Militia of Georgia.  Jack went to work, giving the LEO community a lot of cow dung for "intel" and trying to incorporate the Militia of Georgia name - and that cost me dearly and once again our numbers were cut in half.

Now, here's where the "dirty laundry" comes in.  When we set up the Militia of Georgia, each UNIT in the state gets to choose a representative for a group we call the Rules Committee.  That group is the legislative and the judicial branch of the Militia of Georgia.  The Rules Committee chose, by default, to force the final disposition of Mr. Sullivan and his co hort, Jaimie Blackstone onto me.  Remember, what I said about the NRA and Neal Knox?

I chose to stay with the Militia of Georgia and fight against the LEO / liberals who were trying to take over the organization.  The problem was and is, none of the Rules Committee members did anything except lip service to back me up. Many remained friends with proven traitors on the feds payroll as "confidential informants."  And, in my opinion, without people willing to fight for a common cause and defend their name and honor - they are pretty well screwed.

Let me say it again brothers and sisters.  This ain't no social club.  We are at war!  And my experience has shown that whether you are promoting a political candidate, lobbying for the NRA or just a parent in the Parent Teacher Organization, the same personalities, same problems, and same decisions have to be made.  How many times do you have to hear the same song before you know the words?  And that's where I am in terms of thinking.  I'm not through yet and will finish this thread for those who want to know about the allegations of "dirty laundry" and then decide for yourself if the militia should choose Victory or sound the Death Knell.

More later.

We have before us today a Rough Draft of a document that we all should be working toward not only completing, but implementing as well.  However, the personal attacks which were hinted at in other threads have to be addressed.  And every potential patriot needs to be aware of what is going on in the world around them.

Over the last ten years I have personally witnessed a "movement" (and I know the term is used loosely) which has been so near victory, but pulls away at the opportune moment.  We have at our disposal all kinds of information and history to learn and benefit from.

For instance, in 1998 I appeared with members of the Militia of Georgia before U.S. Congressman, John Linder (R. GA.)  I discussed the plans of the federal government to implement NATIONAL ID.  Hell, I even had a prototype of the ID fingerprint card.  I went on to warn that within five years the United States would be the target of a major terrorist attempt, the objective of which would be to implement NATIONAL ID and take away more of our Rights.  Linder claimed that I read too many internet rumors.  Actually I had never been on the internet at that time.

And when 9 / 11 happened, I was the FIRST in the nation to tell people that the United States government was, at the very least, complicit in the attacks. Today, even John McCain is calling for a special commission to study the unanswered questions about that event.  9 / 11 led to the unconstitutional Bush War in Iraq.  And the "dirty laundry" you hear references to in other threads here has its roots in that very discussion.

When Bush went to war, I told the people on the political right and the militia that there was not enough evidence to sustain a war in Iraq AND that Bush lacked the authority to enter that country.  ALL of the weapons inspectors in the UN said they doubted that Saddam Hussein had any WMDs and Bush was spinning their reports in order to justify the war.

Brothers and sisters, the entire militia "movement" virtually kicked me out by blacklisting the Militia of Georgia over what I said.  But, the record should reflect that I told the American people that George Bush was betting his presidency and the fate of the Republican Party on the basis of a lie.  And the American people backed Bush, while the Democrats gave him carte blanche to pursue an illegal act.  A war, according to the Constitution, requires a Declaration of War, signed by Congress... not a blank check to conduct an act upon which the blame can be placed on a single person.

I'm telling you this because the demise of the Constitution cannot be placed at the feet of the "liberals."  Those on the RIGHT and the patriots... and the militia participated in the destruction of the Constitution.  And it makes people mad when I say this, but we cannot expect the politicians to respect and observe the laws of this country if aren't doing it ourselves and setting the example.

Those in the militia cannot argue lack of information.  We discussed it.  They voted me into office and continued to keep putting me back into that position while I did my dead level best to tell people how the government uses psychology, PSYOPS and brainwashing techniques in order to con well meaning patriots into financing and participating in their own destruction.

In my view, what is happening in the United States today reminds me of reading about the magician, Houdini.  Houdini would come to town and hours before his act, the public could buy the secrets of his tricks right next door to where he was performing.  People bought the instructions on how to perform the feats, but they were still amazed when they witnessed Houdini do the impossible.  I have another analogy that I can't pass up on this:  the "movement" - on average, treats the political scenery like guys who watch wrestling.  All these guys watch wrestling and at work, they will tell you how fake it is... just like we know how corrupt politics are.  Still, they watch it.  They tell you they "used to watch it" because their cousing, uncle, etc. was a wrestler or referee - or whatever.  We claim to be watching the politicians.  Wrestling fans watch wrestling and are entertained by it - though claiming they aren't.  Patriots watch politics and still vote for what they argue are the "lesser of two evils" because they are entertained by it.

I point this stuff out.  And because I observe it, those who become victims of their own refusal to use the information for educational purposes find me to be a thorn in their sides.  Oh, there's more to the story - and by the time I finish this thread, you will have the good, the bad and the ugly... but if we are to get to the road to victory, we have to study the mistakes of the past.  More later.

I can appreciate all the " strolling down memory lane" I know "the past will repeat" if it is forgotten (most of us do).
We all appreciate the things you (Enforcer) have done for "the movement", but can't figure why we have to continually be told about it (gets a little redundant).
We all have learned from the past, I hope!
What direction do you all want to go? I'm for going forward! We have the "Rough Draft" and many have responded to it, now it's time to proceed forward! (IMHO) Let's make it a finished work!
"Enforcer you have the lead"!

Nuff for now!

mesatoad,  By my count there are about twenty new posters here since August.  The numbers fluctuate because every few months I delete accounts when the e mail addresses show up as undeliverable and those people haven't posted in a number of months.

If the newer guys come on board with some point of reference - and its in one spot, they MIGHT be able to make sense of what is going on.  For instance, scattered about the threads was talk of "dirty laundry."  Then, the poster who started it said, we'd talk about in private.  Huh?  Once the issue was brought to the forefront, I thought it was cowardly to bring it up - as opposed to not mention it publicly on the board - AND then say we'd discuss it in private.

Well, to say it was cowardly to bring up the issue and then not spit it out in public brought about a sh!+storm of epic proportions.  Now, my life has been threatened and whether the "dirty laundry" is real or imagined, the future of the Militia of Georgia is going to change dramatically.  One way or another, things are about to change.  And the new people need to know what it takes to make this "movement" viable.

I just wonder what you guys would do if someone was doing to you what gets done to me.  It's easy to play armchair generals.  It's different when you live each day knowing it may very well be your last.  My short answer to you, mesatoad, if you don't want to know where this thread will go, don't read it.  I post in other forums here - and in another two or three postings, I will be done with this.  AND, if some people had backed me years ago, this thread would have ended in my previous post.  The next guy NEEDS and deserves a heads up about what lies ahead.
