· Quote

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2  A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance...  Ecclesiastes 3: 1 thru 4

One Sunday morning in 1775 Pastor Peter Muhlenberg delivered a sermon based on that Bible chapter.  I quote from an account of that story:

"He reached the end of his sermon and said a solemn prayer - and then continued to speak.  "In the Language of the Holy Writ, there is a time for all things.  There is a time to preach and a time to fight."  He paused and threw off his pulpit robe to reveal to the startled congregation the uniform of a colonel in the Continental Army.  "And now is the time to fight!" he thundered and then he called out, "Roll the drums for recruits!"  The drums rolled, and that same afternoon he marched off at the head of a column of three hundred men."  (an excerpt from the book The Light and the Glory by Peter Marshall and David Manuel)

I just answered an e mail from a poster who was considering joining, but decided that there was "too much drama" in the militia for him.  That little e mail made me do some thinking.

Having lived a life where many of our Liberties were still in place for much of my life, I've enjoyed the blessings of Liberty.  The younger generation, never having experienced that degree of Freedom and Liberty cannot appreciate the benefits thereof.  And John Adams made a poignant observation when he said, "But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever."

What we had in America is gone.  The American dream is over and the nightmare begins.  And historical observers may have already written the short term problems we are about to experience.  For instance Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote:  "None are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free."

Right now it appears that we cannot motivate any substantial number of people to act.  Of 150 some odd number of posters here, fewer than a dozen have gone to the legal forum here and helped with the Rough Draft.  So, getting those who already fancy themselves a "patriots" to work in unison has been described as tantamount to herding cats.  And the younger people, those who would benefit most from this cause, think everything is supposed to be easy going, peachy creamy - the great social club.

WHEN the next president is sworn in, they will be anti - gun.  They will push legislation to shut down what they call the "Gun Show Loophole."  In reality, this legislation is nothing more than to put the final nail in the coffin for private firearms ownership.  It is a back - door approach to REGISTRATION.  The patriots assisted the New World Order with implementing gun control via their support of kosher conservatives like George W. Bush, the so - called "Patriot Act," and backdoor infringements via "illegal immigration" bills (which aided National ID and de facto National Gun Registration.)

Well, it's time for a reality check.  If we don't get our excrement together and have some kind of plan in place BEFORE the next president is sworn in, we will always be playing catch up - and most likely against new bills that will seek to outlaw patriot activity.  At that juncture, if you are to be free, you may very well have to choose between fighting or becoming a slave.

I'm in the militia.  We are at war.  And the weapons of choice (by the enemy's decision) are disinformation campaigns, PSYOPS, political propaganda, Pavlovian mind control games, Hegelian Dialectics, and preying upon people's reluctance to stand up to a challenge.  We are hampered by that observation of Abraham Lincoln who said, "To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men."

Well, it is time to fight.  And right now I'm pushing harder than I ever have.  We've blown enough smoke up each other's hind quarters.  And then people come around, expecting some kind of good ol' boy social club deal only to be dissuaded by the B.S. artists who use this as some form of cheap thrill and free entertainment.  That is why I am calling upon all of you to go to the thread entitled Rough Draft and let's get our program in motion.

And I'll end this posting with another quote for those who can't take the bad with the good:

“If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightning..."  Frederic Douglass

GETAWAYMAN, IF and when I see your work on the Rough Draft, I may believe all the talk that people are doing something.

A decade ago, rather than face the constant barrage of charges that the State HQ in Georgia was some kind of "dictatorship," we created a Rules Committee which was supposed to act as the Congress AND the Judicial branch of the militia.  Put into perspective, the balance of power favored the Rules Committee.  In American jurisprudence, we were supposed to have three branches of government: legislative, judicial and executive.  In the Militia of Georgia, we've had two branches since the Rules Committee had control over the judicial AND legislative ends of running the show.

I've sent out an e mail to ALL the known Unit Captains at their last known e mail address.  If you failed to get your notice, PM me and I'll resend it to you.  As John McCain says, "Change is a coming."  Only this time I plan on changing MOG to MEET the challenges, NOT merely react to them.

For the past decade, other people in the militia had the authority and the responsibility to make the organization DO something.  A few weeks ago I took the authority provided to me by the Rules and Regulations to act in the absence of any activity from those who had the opportunity to make the militia into some kind of viable militia which could help protect Liberty.

The time for talk is over.  There is no more time for "reorganization" or getting together.  Some one has to step up and be the lead dog on this sled.  We have to create a document that each of you will sign and be willing to defend.  Then, and only then, will we know where we are going.

So, I'll see GETAWAYMAN on the Rough Draft thread.  And when I visit this thread again, you will get MY view about the current time to fight.

It's like I've said GETAWAYMAN, if you have some allegations to make, utilize the proper forum here for it.  It's a bit cowardly and hypocritical to keep making vague references to mudslinging while you're doing it back - handed style.  Or maybe I don't understand your posts?

freedomvet,  Move your cursor over the below link and click on it.  It will take you directly to the Rough Draft:

http://www.freepowerboards.com/usmilitias/usmilitias-about485-0-asc-0.html

Once there, you will see a scroll bar on the right hand side of the page.  It should have an arrow on the top ^ and another on the bottom that points down.  place your cursor between those two arrows and you can scroll from the top of the page to the bottom.

Don't you think that threats are a bit childish, GETAWAYMAN?  Don't you think that everybody has been done wrong if they've stayed any length of time in this endeavor?  Do you think everything you've done was by the book and acceptable?

Here we have a thread about a time to fight and the only person GETAWAYMAN seems to want to fight are those who are in the militia.

It's getting a bit tiring of hearing these veiled complaints and then threats, followed up by second hand talk from other militia members.  Again, if you have something to say, spit it out.  For if your next posting doesn't explain yourself, mine will.  That gives you a chance to say it for yourself.  And feel free to sh!+ on this thread rather than to start one in the Your View forum.  It's really irrelevant since this bitch fest is going to happen.
