Greetings to all Liberty Forum users (whether registered or not):
Lately we have been on a house cleaning mission to get rid of dead weight and people who were deliberately dragging down the Militia of Georgia and the board.
Too many people come onto the board and do not post. Some people come here strictly for collecting intel and others try to sabotage the Militia of Georgia either because they are outright enemies of the patriot "movement" and / or they are doing it out of ignorance.
We are down to the wire in terms of being able to recruit a core group of dedicated people who want to save this country. Some will go with us; others will fall by the wayside. A few will remain naysayers. But, rest assured, as soon as the next president is sworn in, the political climate for Christians, conservatives, gun owners, constitutionalists, and anyone else who cherishes freedom will be almost unbearable.
Believing in the Bible isn't going to be enough. The Bible teaches:
"As the body without the spirit is dead,so faith without works is dead." James 2:26
Equally important to remember is that the converse of that has to be true as well. Good deeds without faith won't be of much help to you.
We can't meet the challenges ahead as a "local" force of militias (though that will remain your priority mission in your citizen - soldier capacity.) We will have to be supportive of one another. And we cannot allow the notion that involving ourselves in the process will make us a Political Action Committee. We won't become lawyers or judges either just because we put some time into the legal processes in this country.
In order to make the board more responsive to the needs of the readers, we are making a couple of changes you need to be aware of:
First, when someone wants to pick a board fight or if someone turns a thread into a whizzing contest, that thread will be moved to a new forum called Thread Hades. You'll need special permission to post there. And if you're easily offended, you don't need to even visit that forum.
Secondly, in order to keep threads from being attacked in a political process whereby one of the posts keeps getting repeated in its entirety (so as to discourage people from visiting the thread), we've added a new rule in the Board Rules forum. If you start thinking about quoting a post in a thread, you'd better hope it isn't more than a couple of sentences long. Hopefully, you will check the Rules and see what's up.
Next up, we are working with other militias in the United States. Once they fully understand the score here, they will be joining this board. So, we don't know how we will describe the board, but it will become an official board for MORE than the Militia of Georgia.
Last, but not least, the Rough Draft is soon to have a final thread and it will be renamed so that even new readers will be able to identify what it is. The old thread will remain for commentary. The new thread will be for the actual Appeal and those supporting it to add their names and organization names to. All other posts on the new thread will be deleted without comment or warning.
I implore all of you to watch for ANOTHER thread in this forum which will answer a question which has been asked of me a few times before. Basically, it goes like this: There are other petitions, etc. much like what we're doing here. Why should we not abandon our project and just support theirs? There is an answer and you are invited to check back with us as we move along - which will be rather rapidly the moment that final draft is issued... BTW, if you have comments about the Rough Draft, you need to get them on the board.
