With the exception of one guy, they all appear to be kids. And to make matters worse, it appears that they were dope heads influenced by the media. Real militia do not try to sell illegal components that go boom; real militia does not screw around with pot; real militia don't play with IEDs.
None of the Alabama militias we network with had ever heard of this self proclaimed "militia." Honestly, it sounds like something the feds set up just to bust.
It's relatively easy to con younger people into f___ing around with illegal stuff made famous by the glorification of same by the perverts in Hollyweird. This, especially the timing of it, has all the earmarks of a political sting, set up by the New World Order to serve as a pretext for outlawing legitimate militias, passing the Assault Weapons Ban, and further encroaching on our fundamental liberties.
Have you noticed that since the Dems came back to power, there has been convenient circumstances whereby they could create scenarios that make it appear "necessary" to get rid of us? Freedom of speech was attacked by an off-hand remark by Don Imus (can't have none of that racist speech on the airwaves) - there goes talk radio; Mr. Cho goes on his rampage; now a self styled "militia" is caught with stuff the rest of us rarely even read about, much less have the ability to acquire or make.
Last week I reported on the story which Fox headlined " Feds Rain Alabama Militia Group, Uncover Small Weapons Arsenal

turns out, one of our readers is close enough to the situation to have been visited by the BATF folks and offers this account:
"George; I am acquainted with a couple of the men involved in the Alabama Militia bust. I would like to make a comment or two on your "editorial",if I may.
First of all, there were "silencers" found. I have actually seen the type
devices involved. They are empty shells sold openly through "Shotgun
News" for the Cobray MAC-10. They have the outward appearance of a silencer but have no real effect on the report from a 9mm round. The only purpose they serve is to provide a hand hold for a ridiculously unstable pistol. The "rifle grenades" are actually 12Ga shotgun slugs. That are also sold openly through mail order houses and at "ATF supervised"gun shows. "Commercial Fireworks"?!? I cannot drive 50 miles in the deep south without seeing at least 3 or 4 "Crazy Bill's" fireworks stands. And what redneck hasn't lit the fuses on a bazillion or so M-80's to see if he could blow up something?
Anything. A stump (guilty), a can, an old car? The other point I would like to comment on is your reference to militia weapons" and how they are interpreted from the 2nd Amendment by the U.S. Supreme Court.
According to several of the "founding" documents of this republic, the
militia consists of ALL able bodied men, of good character, from the age
18 to a high limit. That limit, I think, was originally 45, but has, in
subsequent years, been raised. I -believe- the current high age is 55.
Of this, I am not sure.
In the Miller decision, in the late '40s, the Supreme Court ruled that
militia weapons were to be provided by the individuals, when mustered,and were to be "of the type in common use at the time".
Now, there is more to the Miller Decision than this. Much more. But the
salient point is that every able bodied man is to be in possession of,
and by implication, competent in the use of, basic military hardware. And to bring it with him when he musters. Therefore, it obviously is to be kept
at his place of residence. And competency gained through regular practice.
So, what are the military weapons in common use at THIS time? Sure as
heck
isn't a .22 squirrel gun. I find the Swiss to really "have their stuff

Right now, my only concern is the pot allegations. So let me say that up front. Now, let's talk turkey.
Just five minutes ago I responded to an e mail by Charles Pence regarding the idiotic notion of Leaderless Resistance. In the above referenced case, not only was this self proclaimed militia busted, but other groups felt the sting as well, among them "Freemen."
We are paying the price for a lack of communications, a lack of unified goals and objectives, and a lack of commitment. The people running the militia show in America lack the experience and the insight to understand the long term aspects of what they're doing. And every so often, what could turn out to be the most effective units ends up being good men and women sent into the prisons of America. And who takes their places?
Many people bitch and moan about the foreigners coming into America - "illegally" they allege. But whose jobs are they filling? In Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia the BATF (E) has had numerous stings against not only militias, but gun owners in general. Lately - and even in Collinsville, Alabama where this militia bust took place, the BATF (E) busts men in their 50s, 60s, and 70s selling single shot shotguns and 22 rifles at flea markets. These are old pharts just passing the week-ends doing a little horse trading with weapons which pose very little, if any risk, to anyone and damn sure aren't the kind of guns used in criminal activities.
What the feds are doing to otherwise law abiding citizens - and maybe even this self proclaimed militia should make you pissed off enough to get involved. We have an election coming up and the chance to bring this stuff to the forefront for an open and honest debate. For every American that ends up the target of BATF (E) entrapment, an entire family could become dependent upon Uncle Scam for their daily bread. And jobs that could have been filled by your American brethren are being filled by people from other countries because nobody wants to stand up against what the government is doing to the people of this country.
The e mail mentions the Swiss who are required to keep a military rifle in the home with ammo. The Swiss are going to go the way of gun control due to the liberal / communist B.S. but, let's review the facts. In a country which has upwards of THREE MILLION GUNS, we find that about 300 people are murdered there each year. But, that's beside the point.
The BATF (E) along with Homeland (IN) Security has declared war against the American citizenry. Plain and simple: this issue will take center stage during the next election or you might as well surrender. There's no point blowing smoke up each other's hind quarters. If the boys in Alabama are hung at the end of a rope tomorrow, over 95 percent of the people in the militia will ignore what I've just told you. And what will you do about the situation?
WELL PEOPLE REGUARDLESS OF THE LAW IS I'D LIKE TO KNOW THERE ARE PEOPLE THAN THOSE FEW INDIVIDUALS IN THIS COUNTRY WHO HAVE THOSE ITEMS ACCSESIBLE. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ARE NOTHING BUT TREASONISTS AND CROOKS. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH SOMEONE HAVING SUCH ITEMS.

I agree that they have declared war, but it is much higher up than these idiot foot soldiers.
If you claim to be Militia and aren't practicing anything "un-constitutional", then why not take a stand of force. If a man comes in my home armed without my permission, then I have just reason to kill him. (Fear for my life!) In my mind and concience, I'm justified!!!
Ok, so they work for the Gov., what makes them special?
