Dylan gets right to the point on this one...

"Well he's surrounded by pacifists who all want peace,
They pray for it nightly that the bloodshed must cease.
Now, they wouldn't hurt a fly.
To hurt one they would weep.
They lay and they wait for this bully to fall asleep...

Pride and prejudice and superstition indeed,
They wait for this bully like a dog waits to feed."

Classic Dylan folks.  Listen and learn.

Obama picked a Jewish guy to be his head of staff so I do not think Isrial needs to worry about him not being a supporting president.  They are our allies and we will stand by them thick or thin.

Will Obama fix our local crime problems?  I say go with Sheriffs Sultan. Its about damn time.  Geez.

To Obama's selection of this Chief of Staff -  Yes, a man of Jewish origin, though his support within the Jewish American community is somewhat lukewarm.  Also, a man widely disliked within the DC political corridors by members of both political parties.  That should not discount him though, as being Chief of Staff is a job primarily dealing with White House policy, not Capitol Hill policy.  That being said, this selection might very well prove to cause Obama some degree of challenge as he attempts to unify the ever increasing chasm between liberal and conservative.  Or, perhaps Obama has no intention of attempting to unify.  Perhaps he is intending to force a wide scale liberal agenda right down the throats of Congress, dissenters be damned.  He might very well have the post-election mandate power to do just that.

As to the City of Sultan police contract with Snohomish County...

... Factum est.

Sulan going with county for our cops is the right thing and should been done a long long long time ago. The people who cried about the idea last time were all just covering for the former sheriffs fat butt. Finally nice to see the city doing the right thing for the people for once.

I didn't mind Fred so much I just think he got too easy in the job over the years and maybe a little careless with what led to the big mess toward the end.  Seems the city might finally be turning the old corner on the police issue with brining in the county and that is a good thing. I agree with the other people who say it is a long time coming. Should have been done a long time ago. Now you don't hear from the old crowd of whiners which is a good thing also.  We had some good cops and some really really bad ones.  The county should help us all to have all around better cops in my book.
