Maybe because anyone who disputes the truth of man made climate change is in the pocket of BIG OIL. The same people who made BILLIONS off of high oil prices and now are spending that money with BS stories about the the earth is cooling. I actually read the last link and it seems pretty clear to me that there is at least a divide between science on the issue which is not how we see it on the regular news. So I am on the side of looking at both sides at least. The issue appears to be far from decided and it does seem like the earth has been cooling for the last few years. I am wonder if that is the case would global cooling be a lot more harmful to everyone then global warming?

That is a great question with the answer being a resounding yes. The worst case scenario that was being put out by the global warming fear mongers in the late 1990's up until quite recently might very well have seen an increase in world food supply. Historically, when the earth has gone through prolonged warming cycles, there has been far less war, famine, etc. Some scientists even speculated that overall world health would improve.
If the earth were to go a couple degrees cooler in its average climate temps, there would be less food, less commerce, and likely far more damage done than the warming scenario.
Don't fret though - the climage change machinery is already anticipating this possibility, thus the change from calling it "global warming" to "climate change". They are aware of the data showing that earth's climate temps were flat following a slight warming trend in the early 90's, and have now been noticeably decreasing for the last few years. So much $$$$ and planning has been put in place that they will simply keep rolling with the climate change model and will likely do an about face and go back to a similar climate crisis/global cooling program that was let loose in the 1970s - and this will be done without them batting an eye.
Hopefully though the numbers of dissenters will continue to grow and more people will realize that the current version of so called climate crisis is no different than previous ones, except this time it has been taken further and eroded individual and collective freedoms more than ever. This dissent has become increasingly vocal within the scientific community, but the mainstream media is hesitant to report on it for fear of losing the multi-million dollar advertising deals with the newly established Go Green campaign that has swept the ad industry over the last few years. (For instance, General Electric Corp owns NBC and MSNBC and has done numerous Go Green campaigns on those networks - most notably the Today Show versions. And what company has sold multi-millions of dollars worth of green-friendly products to consumers? Well just connect the dots folks...
And our dear friend Al Gore gets about $5000 per minute for giving speeches on Global Warming/Climate Change. Now if this is such a dire and pressing issue for Mr. Gore, why does he demand such high fees to educate others on the subject?
And of course, the elite's mantra of "do as I say not as I do" has been repeatedly exemplified by Mr. Gore himself. He attempted to describe his humongo new houseboat as being environmentally friendly with its use of bio fuel and solar panels - though the panels have yet to be installed, and the marina where the boat is docked does not actually sell bio fuel, meaning the fuel will have to be sent in special order by boat or truck, which will of course contribute to...greater global warming? To say nothing of the fact that the materials and processes that go into the construction of such a boat - particularly one of this size, can hardly be good for the environment based upon the conclusions of the Go Green establishment.

Now to nail the point home yet again - another link from last month indicating that the earth's mean temperature level is at its lowest level since 1982.
Additionally, Southern Hemisphere sea ice grew at its largest pace in January of 2008 since records have been kept over the last 30 years, and Northern Hemisphere ice is also growing.
To put it into the simplest of terms - Global Warming/Man-Made Climate Change is complete bullcrap. It's time more and more of you start demanding the truth and a return to common sense when it comes to environmental policy.
And even CNN is more willing in the face of mounting credible evidence, to allow those within their own network to question the highly speculative concept of man-made Global Warming.
And a perfect representation on how the very debate over Global Warming is being underreported by the Mainstream Media and controlled by the environmental extremists who have repeatedly declared that the debate is over.

So what we have here is now the often touted "2008 projected to be 10th warmest on record" title that you will see repeated throughout the mainstream media over the next month or so.
If you look a bit more closely at the actual information though, please note that the baseline average temperature timeline being used is 1961-1990. So they are stating that 2008 is approximately a half degree warmer than the average temperature between 1961-1990.
Ok, you might ask. So what? Weeeellll - the problem here is that the use of 1961-1990 is highly selective "science". Actually it is not science at all but simple manipulation of data to come up with a predetermined outcome.
Do you recall the stories of the impending ice age that took off in the early 1970s? Now think about it - why select 1961-1990 as the base line temperature average for comparison to temperatures in 2008?
Simple. The earth's climate was cooling a bit for about a 30-year period starting in the late 1950s. Then temperatures flat lined before starting a slow increase in the late 1980's. By selecting 1961-1990 as your baseline average temperature, you are selecting a time period that saw below average/colder than "normal" temperatures!! So when the earth's climate started to increase a bit in the 1990's you can say that 2008's temps, though noticeably cold, were still a bit higher than the average temps between 1961-1990. The deception leads the average dumbledorf to then say, "Oh, I guess the earth is still warmer than it should be" even as you stare out at snow drifts and freezing ice.
Let me explain it this way. Let's say you are about 30 years of age and have lost some weight in recent years - maybe ten pounds or so over what you weighed when you were in your late 20s. You clearly weigh less than you once did, right?
But then someone comes up to you and says, "Well, even though you weigh less now, you are still over your average weight between your age of 10-20 years, so you are still a disgusting fat pig."
Your current weight is 180 pounds. You weighed 190 pounds five years ago. But when you were in high school, your average weight for those years comes out to 160 pounds. And this "expert" based your weight average on the years between 10 and 20 so the average weight comes out even less than your average high school weight of 160 - say 130 pounds because you were a puny little nothing when you were 10 years of age. So despite you having lost a considerable 10 pounds in recent years, this expert can say with absolute truth, that your current weight of 180 pounds is still a great deal over your average weight when you were much younger - so you better go back on another diet fatty!
That scenario is exactly what is being spun now with these most recent stories regarding 2008 as still being "hotter" than the average temps between 1961 - 1990. Now if these same "experts" had used the average temps between say, 1929 - 1959 they would come to a completely different conclusion - 2008 would then be seen as a colder than average year.
