if you guys want to be able to host games, but can't because of Firewall/Router issues? well if you tell me the firewall and/or Router you use, I might be able to help fix your problem

I got my new comp, and Im not using a router.. I think. The wire is connected to a internet plug-in wire in the wall. And on Saturday, it was taking me awhile for me to host. AND IM STILL NOT BEING ABLE TO HOST!!! -.-

then its probably the firewall, can you tell me which one your using? do you use windows vistas well? (i use windows vista)

ok... so you just use windows firewall? well heres what might work..

(note: I use windows vista so my information might be slightly inacturate)


go to control panel then click security (or windows security center) now, click on firewall, and look for settings, after that go to exceptions, then click add port, (name: [what ever you want] Port: 6113 or the port number used in Warcraft 3 options menu

To check which port Warcraft 3 uses, go to options gameplay, then it should be around the bottom left corner of the screen, if its diffrent from 6113, change it to that, if your using a router, you might want to change the port (both on firewall and game) to something like 6114 or another number up,
