surely with less then a week before the mortlock shield there would be abit more information on on offer maybe just the names of the players given the opputunity to train and be selected to represent whyalla. Apartfrom that looking forward to see how whyalla matches up against the best players on the eyre penisula |

I agree with your comments, as I received the information on the Wednesday before the Mortlock Shield competition, I find it also frustrating, why things are done at the last moment. Even now on Monday 11th June...I haven't received any details what so ever from Port Lincoln...then again, they might not have any electronic gadgets to forward it...might be coming by pigeon mail. |

mortlock was an incredible experience to be involved with and a great honour to be involved in the first team after so many years away from it.
the whyalla football league need to be congratulated for the effort they made and the terrific facilities they were able to get for the lads!
it is something that now needs to be continually pushed for the future because there was NOT ONE negative comment the whole weekend from any of the people involved.]
whyalla proved they were good enough to be there and if not for a bit of luck and decent umpiring would have been in the grand final, and for perhaps a few players which disappointingly made themselves unavailable for the trip without good reason.
congrats to jim hewitson and the crew who made this all possible its something alot of the people wont forget. |
