Welcome to the World of Fiction: A Fanfic Forum dedicated to My Chemical Romance.
Though we're all pretty laid back ladies, and encourage everyone to enjoy themselves fully, there are a few guidelines that we'd like to ask everyone to follow...
1.) Please note that this is NOT an official site. As far as I know there is no 'official' fanfiction site anyway, so...yeah. Oh! And everything featured here is a work of FICTION. We do not claim that anything written under the fanfiction boards are true. Don't sue us. It's all in fun. The members of My Chemical Romance are used only for visual effect, and as far as we know neither of us know them personally. kthnx.
2.) Be RESPECTFUL. To each other, all Moderators, and Band members. At ALL times. If you can't play nice, then please, for the love of Gerard, play somewhere else.
3.) Any promotion of drug use, homophobic actions against others, self-mutilation/harm, derogatory comments on race/gender/religion/orientation will NOT be tolerated. Your posts and/or threads will be deleted, and your account banned. That's not cool. Dude.
4.) Cursing is allowed. But let's not go overboard, ok?
5.) Bashing the band, it's members, their families/wives/girlfriends is never allowed here. Do it once, you will receive a warning, and the posts will be deleted. Any time after that you will be banned. And probably without warning.
On that note, about the personal lives thread. We've locked it. Please carry all discussion into the WAYT, or save it for the weekly AIM chats. LJ has taken her time to create a 'need to know' thread about the band's personal lives. Read it.
6.) All types and genres of fanfiction are allowed here. Horror, comedy, romance, erotica (PWP), slash, you can even take MCR to space if you'd like. Let's get creative!!!!
7.) When posting a story, please post it in the appropriate board/sub-board. We have a place for your adult, mature, and general fanfics. Please follow the individual rules posted by the board moderator. Ex.- Any stories that do not use MCR as main characters go in the board marked 'Other'. We should not find any Avenged Sevenfold, Fall Out Boy, or any other band fiction in the MCR board. They will be locked and the Author contacted about moving them.
8.) When commenting on someone else's story, please be courteous and polite. Only CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is allowed on WOF.
At the same time, we'd love to read your story, just be sure we can understand it. Please make sure your story is spell checked, using proper capitalization, and like everything else on the community, in English only. Sorry. And most importantly. No chatspeak! Ew. Please, For the love of Frank, no.
9.) Please use the correct format when posting a new fanfic.
The format is as follows:
*Title:
*Rating:
As Follows:
G- No strong words are present. Depictions of violence are minimal. No nudity, sex scenes or drug use are used.
PG- Mature themes, slight violence, some profanity.
PG-13- Strong language, brief nudity, adult themes.
R- Profanity, adult themes, adult activity, hard language, intense or persistent violence, sexually-oriented nudity, and /or drug use.
NC-17- Appropriate only for an adult (17and older) audience. Can be based on violence, sex, and drug use.
*Genre: self-explanatory
*Disclaimer: We should all know what one of these is.
*Summary: If desired. Not required.
10.) Plagiarism is not allowed AT ANY TIME. We all read fanfic here, and chances are, if we've seen your story somewhere before, it won't go unnoticed. We will always pm the Author to ask if they have posted the story in question anywhere else.
11.) Please, do not post any unnerving photos of yourself or anyone else. We adore you, but do not want to see you in all your glory. It shall be deemed pulling a 'Wentz'. lol.
While we're on the subject of pictures, there is only one general rule. We must not steal any of the MiniMCR comics and go posting them everywhere. Thanks to LJ (MissCandyK aka the one who pwns you), we have permission from her to use them. But NO STEALING The artist is fuming about finding her comics all over without permission. We don't want her to stop making them now do we? They're so damn cute!
